Guys,

Do not install the Nvidia driver update that was released today (24-12) for your 970, or do so at your own risk.

I can get past the Apple logo, but then I get two grey screens. Starting in safe and verbose mode also won't work.

Any advice on how to uninstall the drivers, or other tricks to downgrade to the previous version?

thanks

Anyone else crashing when trying to game? Everything else runs fine, just when I've tried out two different games it goes to a black screen and eventually shuts down.

You have 2 monitors right? this happens to me too... i have to start with only one monitor plugged in (DVI) and then plug in the 2nd (DP) after boot. MSI 970

Aha, so you installed anyway ;-) Thanks for the advice, works! I also use the MSI 970.

Let's hope they clean up this mess soon.. I'm hoping for some CUDA support for After Effects.

Since I wasn't able to get the GTX980 working in the X99M Killer, I put it in the GA-X58A-UD7.
Installed Yosemite, installed web drivers, installed GTX980.

Works great so far as I can tell, but Unigine Valley crashes as soon as it begins to run.
Going to try Luxmark next.
Here are some Lexmark benches

Hello, how did you connect the cinema display to the 970? This is a Display Port monitor, isn't it?

Hi

Does anyone already test the Asus GTX 980 Strix with success ?

I have a Tri way SLI on my Gigabyte Z97 Gaming G1, I can boot without the nvidia driver, but I can't with, I had a Kernel Panic. I tried all method indicated in the thread without success.

thanks !

Asus Strix shouldn't behave differently from any other GTX 980, as the driver is from nVidia.

Hey man. I did the same exact process as you. I currently have the web drivers installed and the latest CUDA version as well.

I rebooted into BIOS and switched my HDMI and DVI cables to the GFX card. As soon as I boot it's spinning the internal fans and clearly receiving power. Then, about 1 minute after booting (can leave it at login chameleon screen or try and boot, same effect)... the fans stop spinning and the -v logs say the same thing GeForceSensors (pci1) fatal unknown chipset *HANG*

I am running Yosemite 10.10 with Mac 3,1 and all other drivers working.

Vt-d is Disabled and PCI 1 is default for boot.

I am so confused!! haha, any ideas?
