any workarounds for this problem? is there a setting in Bios that could disable the pcie slot temporarily where the startech card is installed I only use the card for recording with profire 610 and logic pro at most 2 times a month, and I figured disabling the pcie slot in the BIOS would be less hassle than removing the card from the slot manually whenever I am not recording.
Anybody doing audio work via firewire audio interface see a noticeable difference in recording / audio quality comparing the startech to a syba (TI chipset)?
Is the sleep/wake/shutdown problem only in Mountain Lion or is it a BIOS issue? Seems like Lion is a better platform for audio production anyway...
Has anyone tried the F15m Beta BIOS for the GA-Z77X-UD5H yet? The only comment in the description is "Support Windows 8," but I can't imagine this is a fix they'd make a big deal about either way.
