Getting 650ti working

Yeah, sorry it is off topic. Thank you for helping me out. I will not waste any more time here. You guys are the best in this forum. Loving the Hackintosh system. Going to help my brother build one to replace an iMac. Keep up the great support.

So : I've tried to install the update at http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1609, and to switch config between iMac12,2, iMac13,2, MacPro3,1, but I still have those "NVDA(OpenGL): Channel exception!" errors… What's more, I can't use Unigine Heaven, because I always get this error before it ends (I've never been able to get to the end of the test !). Anyone has an idea ? I have installed CUDA drivers, can it be involved, causing this error ?
Ever any final luck man??? These errors are driving me nuts, I can't let go of this card cause I paid good money and it screams in Windows.. :/
I've been having the same errors as well. For me, my system freezes up while using Aperture 3 and playing a youtube video in the background. I can usually move the mouse but the screen is completely frozen and I can still hear the audio playing, at this point restarting is the the only option.
This for sure crashes my system (Zotac GTX 650 Ti 1GB, Asus P8Z77M - Pro, 2 x 4GB RAM, i5-3570K).
I build the system with Bimmer's guide and installed nvidia drivers. Hoping to fix this.

Please let us know if that solve the problem…

I have already installed this update, with new nvidia drivers (8.6.22 304.10.20f04) but unfortunately ir didn't solve the "Channel exception" error for me… :|

where do you see channel exception error?

Okay I think I've got it to be stable now. Did a few hours of Aperture 3 and randomly played youtube vids in the background with no issues.

I wasn't taking down notes of what I did, but here's what I *think* solved the issue.

1. added the npci=0x3000 darkwake=0 string in your org.chameleon.Boot.plist

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<!DOCTYPE plist PUBLIC "-//Apple//DTD PLIST 1.0//EN" "http://www.apple.com/DTDs/PropertyList-1.0.dtd">
<plist version="1.0">
<dict>
<key>EthernetBuiltIn</key>
<string>Yes</string>
<key>GenerateCStates</key>
<string>Yes</string>
<key>GeneratePStates</key>
<string>Yes</string>
<key>GraphicsEnabler</key>
<string>No</string>
<key>Kernel</key>
<string>mach_kernel</string>
<key>Kernel Flags</key>
<string>npci=0x3000 darkwake=0</string>
<key>Legacy Logo</key>
<string>Yes</string>
<key>Theme</key>
<string>LoginToLion</string>
<key>Timeout</key>
<string>2</string>
<key>UseKernelCache</key>
<string>Yes</string>
</dict>
</plist>

2. Download and install OS X Mountain Lion 10.8.2 Supplemental Update
http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1600

3. Download and install MacBook Air and MacBook Pro Update 2.0
http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1609

My system definition is Mac Pro 3,1 so when I tried to install it would say this update is not applicable for your machine, so I changed my system definition to one of the MacBook Pro's restart, install, restart, use MB to redefine as Mac Pro 3,1, restart.

I think after this my sound driver disappeared so I reinstalled that using MB and that's it. Hope this helps.

where do you see channel exception error?

Just openning the console… It often happens while : watching a video (YouTube or not), surfing on some websites, using some applications (requesting OpenGL ?) like Unigine Heaven (I never managed to get it work)…

Thanks for your answer. Unfortunately, I already have those flags et the last update you quoted (n°3) installed… and I can't install this 2nd update (it says my disk does not meet the requirements ! strange !)

Can you (and if possible other people that have a 650 Ti) just tell what's the Bios version of your 650 Ti please ? (mine is 2.0, 80.06.21.00) You can find it easily openning the console and looking for something as "01/01/13 12:06:04,000 kernel[0]: GeForceSensors (0): chipset: GK106 (NVE6) bios: 80.06.21.00")

My bios is exactly the same as yours.
