Hello there dear all,

I'm planing on my first Hackintosh build, actually PC build ever. I've been using Macs for long time, though have to admit for an upcoming project I'd rather save money and put it into my film, and this seems like the best community out there.

I was wondering if I could get some advice. I'd be most likely shooting on 4K and editing with Divici Resolve 14.

LIST OF PARTS.
macOS Sierra
Corsair Carbide 270R Midi ATX
Intel Core i7-6700K 4x4.0GHz (possible 7700K)
Corsair Hydro Series H55
Gigabyte GA-Z170X-Gaming
Crucial 32GB Kit (8GBx4) DDR4 2133
Gigabyte Nvidia GeForce GTX1050 Ti WindForce
Samsung SSD 850 EVO Series 500GB MLC
Corsair TX650 650 W ATX 80PLUS Gold
TP-LINK Archer T9E AC1900 WLAN Adapter
DELL P2715Q 27" 4K Monitor

How does this configuration look? Will I be coming up with incompatibility issues?

Cheers,
Gerald

Some folks already have the I7-8700K and are awaiting their Z370 motherboards for testing. Soon we'll know how well that combo will work with High Sierra. The two extra cores in the 8700K would greatly help your work with 4K video. If you need a system short term though, you'll be up and running faster with a 7700K - Z270 system which is already fully supported.

Hey trs96, thanks for your thoughts. I noticed that intel released new CPU's. Even though I'm dying to get my hands on that first build, however I'm in no rush, so I guess I'll have to be patience and see the feedback. Cheers man!

Does the I7-8700K & Z370 combo have to run with High Sierra? Or can in role with Sierra alone?

You can use a fake Skylake or Kaby Lake CPU ID and get it to work with Sierra. I'm sure some will attempt that once they have the hardware to test it.
