Ethernet and graphics - can't get it to work

I've now tried to install NVIDIA web drivers this way.
After that, I used Multibeast to add an NVIDIA web drivers boot flag.
Still no happy face...

I found a practical solution (work-around): it works with an HDMI-cable!
Didn't realise I had one in the house, until I thought of the one connecting our Apple TV to our TV...DUH!
It's still weird that it won't work with the DisplayPort, when it works with both DVI-D and HDMI.
