Dont compile it now since they are doing some big changes and u will have problems with configuring.
Wait 2-3 days for new version.
just use v1635 installer from here http://sourceforge.net/projects/cloverefiboot/files/Installer/

Or if u just insist on latest one then download it from there,but read latest changes here.

Are u on award or uefi bios ?
If u are UEFI u can folow this guide but u dont need OSXAptiofix.efi driver like AMI UEFI boards
u need just these:

"Minimum needed (enough for Gigabyte Hybrid EFI):
- HFSPlusX64.efi or VBoxHfs.efi - for HFS+ support
- OsxFatBinaryDrv.efi - for multi architecture (FatBin) binaries like boot.efi

I didn't know there were problems with building it from source.

It dont have problems with building it.
But build u will get (if u fix your error) will not give u complete new settings needed for easy work.
One problem its in setting theme and other settings that were in refit.conf.
This settings are now stored new config.plist and themes.plist,themes are updated but config.plist still does not contain key for themes soo u need add this manually.

It will be fixed in maybe few hours or in morning,but now its not time for using latest version if u wanna make it work easy way.

Can I generate the DSDT without my AMD 7970 installed at that time? Or does it need to be installed for a complete DSDT? (I'm asking because of the HD4000 HDMI patch, will it work with the AMD 7970 too after installation?)

Well unfortunately I still have been unable to successfully add the hd4000 to my dsdt ..


But I did find a work around in Clover.


I just selected graphics injection in the boot loader option and voila, all is now working ....

I'm pretty impressed with the speed I now get from Intel Quicksync in quicktime x encoding ..


Quicksync in Quicktime.. Encoding a 97 second clip "H.264, 480p AAC, 44100 Hz, Stereo (L R)" to 1080p took 39 seconds with the HD4000 active and without the HD4000 active it took 79 seconds ...

Check to see if your Gigabyte GTX650 has a UEFI VBIOS. If not you will be able to get an update from Gigabyte (I did for my GT640). Update you VBIOS to a UEFI version and disable CSM in BIOS. CSM driver should be removed from drivers64UEFI.

You don't need all drivers. Be sure to read the first and second post for an idea for what drivers you should be using.

True. I've reduced the number of drivers drastically, although I don't remember the exact number right now.

When you are booting, are you using your HDD or USB key? Did you move your EFI file to the HDD?

I'm using an old 200Gb Samsung hard drive for testing. I moved all the config to the EFI partition in this drive and I'm booting directly from this drive (UEFI option when pressing F12 at boot). This is the only hard drive present in the system (I disabled all the others since I wanted to double-check that the system was booting UEFI).

You know there have been several changes regarding Clover that make your previous guide somewhat obsolete… Will you update it ?

Thanks a lot ! It's been very inspiring, but now I'm working on F15r mod4 BIOS. so I've compiled another DSDT for this BIOS version and I'm playing with Clover 1669 (self-build).

You know there have been several changes regarding Clover that make your previous guide somewhat obsolete… Will you update it ?

I will completly update guide next weak.
New bios require same patches from guide and guide its updated from time to time.
There its configured clover for f15r with dsdt in efi v1665.zip
i will update this file every 2-3 days soo can be downloaded for people that dont wanna learn(read) about changes-improvments soo they can use it.

There are new 1672 version that add changing themes from GUI.
I will try it now and update my efi.zip

By now the only problem I'm having with Clover is with themes. They don't appear (just placeholders) but everything works.

Where do I have to change theme settings ? Theme.plist ? Default config.plist ? Or config.plist in OEM folder ?

Well unfortunately I still have been unable to successfully add the hd4000 to my dsdt ..


But I did find a work around in Clover.


I just selected graphics injection in the boot loader option and voila, all is now working ....

I'm pretty impressed with the speed I now get from Intel Quicksync in quicktime x encoding ..


Quicksync in Quicktime.. Encoding a 97 second clip "H.264, 480p AAC, 44100 Hz, Stereo (L R)" to 1080p took 39 seconds with the HD4000 active and without the HD4000 active it took 79 seconds ...

Are you loading any other Ati 7xxx kexts or using the screen rotation in auto load with your build, or using nothing but the Clover bootloader to get these results?

Also, did you select the 'Mac Mini Server' machine profile yourself, or did Clover auto select it during install?
