Can't log in to App Store or iCloud

So recently I realized I can't log in to either the App Store or iCloud for whatever reason. It just says it can't connect to the servers.
Currently my internet works fine and I can access the iTunes store and the iCloud control panel via my web browser.
Any idea why this is happening or if there's a fix?

Recently I enabled audio over hdmi using Toleda's dsdt method. Could that affect it in any way?
 
So I found out that deleting org.chameleon.Boot.plist was causing the issue. Toleda's older guide for enabling HDMI audio for HD4000 graphics suggested deleting the file though it seems that that wasn't necessary.
 
I am having the same problem (cannot login to iCloud or Appstore therefore can't update to Mavericks) and I'm not sure I understand your last comment.

Do you mean that deleting "org.chameleon.Boot.plist" fixes this issue and will permit me to download Mavericks directly from the Appstore? I have that file intact on my computer running 10.8.5 (Mountain Lion).
So to be clear, does deleting the file fix or cause the problem?
