No, 16 is the lowest a desktop Sandy Bridge CPU can go.

The only thing that I can't get work is Sleep mode. The monitor turns off but system keeps running. I would like to know when it will be available the flaked speed stepper for 10.7.4
I have deleted the AICPM.kext and NullCpuPowerManagement.kext because the first gave me Kernel Panic and the second forces me to consume unnecessary watts/energy.
I receive one SMC error~ ACPI_SMC_PlatformPlugin::start - waitForService(resourceMatching(AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement) timed out
Could someone help me to get working on it the AICPM.kext on Lion 10.7.4? I've got DSDT/SSDT extracted from Microsoft with Aida64, I applied patches~ HPET, SBUS, DTGP, RTC and SCOPE_PR.
My system works well, I play games all maximum settings 1920x1080 with 100/250 fps. Sims 3, CSS, TF2, Mafia 2, Euro Truck Simulator, etc. that is an example that system works well at full stuff. But my problem is get the system to sleep, and I think without AICPM.kext I won't get sleep.
Enclosed is my Extra folder content with SSDT/DSDT etc in case any moderator helps me with a check, I would like to find a way to start with AICPM.kext. Thanks anyway.
Here you've got some pictures~

Try installing patched ACPM for 10.7.4 from Multibeast 4.5.1

MSRDumper PStatesReached: (8) 16 20 25 26 27 28 29 30
However it was almost never going lower than 16, while before the fix the multiplier was at 8x when idle.
After editing the SSDT for my i7-2670QM, removing some and adding the range from 8 to 16 I get this and the multiplier now sticks around 8x when idle:
MSRDumper PStatesReached: 8 12 17 22 24 25 26 27 28 29 30
maybe a laptop SSDT could be added to MB?
I'm running my 2700K at 4.6 GHz and OS X reports 4.3 GHz. Would I have to lower the CPU freq to use the overclock SSDT?MacMan said:As for the over-clocked SSDT, I reduced the maximum clock to 4.2 GHz since that is the maximum that OS X can report.
