I installed using iboot + multibeast method then ran the combo update and used EasyBeast and system utilities options on multibeast.
at first I had a "boot0: error" message but I solved that by adding a boot1h file to my system using a ubuntu disk and using the terminal code "sudo dd if=boot1h of=/dev/sda2 bs=4096"

after reboot I see Chameleon boot screen but then I get stuck at the white screen with the grey apple logo (no spinning wheel)
The only way I can boot is by using iboot disk and typing the flag "npci=0x2000" (adding it using multibeast doesn't solve this)

Once it boots I have the following problems:
No audio through monitor (connected with HDMI from graphics card)
No audio through front headphone jack or rear headphone jack
USB ports only work for Keyboard and mouse
CD drive not showing anything inserted
Can't use my full 1920x1080 resolution

Build:
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-B75M-D3P
Processor: Intel Core I5 3470
Graphics: Nvidia Geforce GTX650
RAM: 2x 4Gb (only using 1x for install)
Hard Drive: 500Gb Sata-III HDD

iboot Legacy (standard iboot gets stuck at apple logo)
Snow leopard 10.6.3 retail disk
10.6.8 combo update
Multibeast (newest on site)

the only reason to install SL is to be able to download ML, and make the unibeast stick.
you dont need to use multibeast at this stage at all.

you can get the app store from 10.6.6 - 10.6.8, so imo download the 10.6.6 or 7 combo update, to get the app store. dont bother with 10.6.8

So basically start from scratch but combo update to 10.6.6 to get the app store then buy ML and download Unibeast to install those?
are there any issues with my hardware that may cause problems with ML later on or are they fine?

Hardware should be OK with ML except for possibly the 650, depending on the model. If it is PCIe 2.0, then it is Fermi chip and if PCIe 3.0, then it is Keplar. Fermi may cause some problems - forum search is your friend there.

It's the Palit Nvidia Geforce GTX 650 which is PCIe 3.0

You may want to look at this link and see my post - http://www.tonymacx86.com/snow-leop...7029-hdd-does-not-boot-up-cracking-sound.html

Also as Going Bald states - remove the 650 at this time to install OSX SL and use the HD4000 CPU GFX.
Change BIOS to required settings as mentioned in the Guides.
Also change the Video to internal and memory to 64 Megs.
Also enable USB LEGACY support.

After install of SL and combo update - use the motherboard Network interface (hard line) to connect to the router.
Then connect to the Apple App Store - login - purchase - download OSX ML 10.8.3 and the UniBeast program from downloads then make the Unibeast Thumb Drive (8GB) and then install OSX from the USB drive.

After ML installed you can then install the nVidia software - reboot- then the 650 card. And you should be done.
If you get to the point where your installing ML and have problems do post a new post to the correct support Forum...

I'm sure I've read somewhere though that the internal graphics on the I5 3470 isn't compatible...
Also do I use the Driver disk that comes with the graphics card or install them using Multibeast?
Is it true that I will be limited to 4Gb of RAM when Ive installed ML or is that only if I boot from iboot in SL?
And finally shall I continue using iboot legacy because it works or give iboot Ivy Bridge a try?

Yes this is true -you have the HD2500 - now the interesting aspect of this is that Apple has updated Mountain Lion 10.8.3 and has support for HD2500 - as it appears that Apple in the Education Division has hardware w HD2500 GFX hardware in them. Apple units sold to schools and now supported in 10.8.3.

Also do I use the Driver disk that comes with the graphics card or install them using Multibeast?

I do not think that OSX drivers are included in the CD that comes w the card - its best to use the ones from nVidia. And MultiBeast!

Yes as your booting from the iBoot Ivy Bridge CD this limits you to only 4GB - when you use Mountain Lion this will disappear and you will be able to use all the ram.

And finally shall I continue using iboot legacy because it works or give iboot Ivy Bridge a try?

As your hardware is Ivy Bridge you need to use the iBoot for Ivy Bridge CD as the only tool to install and get to Mountain Lion,

Will I need my graphics card for the snow leopard installation as it doesn't support HD2500 and then remove it for ML?

I have checked on the Nvidia website and there are no drivers for OS X

And also should I use HDMI, VGA or DVI-D to connect my monitor from the internal graphics?

Install the gfx card before installing SL. You have a Keplar card, so no additional drivers are needed - full support with GE=No running Mountain Lion.

Connect the DVI or HDMI from the gfx card to the display.
Boot with iBoot Ivy Bridge
Swap for SL DVD, install SL, download/run 10.6.8 combo update to get app store
reboot to desktop with iBoot IB
purchase/download Mountain Lion install app, create UniBeast USB
Reboot and install ML.
Remember to select GE=No from MultiBeast.
