[In progress] SSDT for Thunderbolt 3 Hotplug

Hey guys. My Thunderbolt 3 connection works perfectly when I turn on my Universal Audio Apollo at the OpenCore or Clover boot screens. But I don't have hotswap functionality. My thunderbolt location in IORegistryExplorer is RP05/PXSX. How can I write an SSDT that will give me hotswap but also...

NVIDIA Releases Alternate Graphics Drivers for macOS High Sierra 10.13.4 (387.10.10.10.30)

^ Further to this. Running Benjamin Dobell's script here: https://github.com/Benjamin-Dobell/nvidia-update It offered to patch my existing install. I did that, but it didn't work. So then I fully uninstalled my NVIDIA drivers and driver manager, and re-ran his script. The second time it worked...

NVIDIA Releases Alternate Graphics Drivers for macOS High Sierra 10.13.4 (387.10.10.10.30)

Security update 2018-001 just hosed my NVIDIA drivers. Can't get them to re-install and so now I'm stuck on stock drivers with very sloppy performance and only a single monitor. I'm running a 1050ti. Guess I have to wait for NVIDIA to put out an update? Beware of the security update folks!

Solving NVIDIA Driver Install & Loading Problems

Hey all, Since upgrading my Hackintosh I have been experiencing white-noise displaying randomly on one monitor, and random 1second long moments where both screens turn black, like something is crashing or reseting the window server. I just upgraded to a 1050 Ti and redid my Hack from the...

Fix NVIDIA Web Driver in macOS Sierra 10.12.6

Many thanks to everyone helping here. Pilgrim's 'problem 6' advice has got me up and running with the web driver for my new 1050ti. However only my HDMI connection is working. The DVI connected to my 2nd monitor is not working. Thoughts??

[Solved] Best approach to resurrect a Hackintosh?

So for those that come after me... I couldn't find a socket 1150 believe it or not. So I had a massive spendy tantrum and got a Kaby Lake 7700K, a Gigabyte Z170XP-SLI motherboard, and 16GB of Corsair Vengeance LPX (2x8gb) DDR4 sticks. I'll sell all my other components and shouldn't lose too...

[Solved] Best approach to resurrect a Hackintosh?

Hey all. My CPU died on me, and I suspect the PSU+mobo also died. I have replacements - CPU is the same but the mobo is an ASUS one and not the Gigabyte one I was previously using. Same generation though. I am hopeful that the hard-drives are fine and that my Hackintosh Sierra setup is still...

ML Installed but cannot boot into it

Okay... I changed the version of FakeSMC to another one I found online, and put the dsdt.aml file in /Extras and re-installed from the USB stick. Now... I get a list: AppleACPICPU: ProcessorID=0 LocalApicId=0 Enabled AppleACPICPU: ProcessorID=1 LocalApicId=2 Enabled AppleACPICPU: ProcessorID=2...

ML Installed but cannot boot into it

I have put the DSDT for my motherboard into /Extras ... no difference. BTW, I don't have access to a working Mac just now; so I am using Macdrive on my Windows 8 laptop to deploy files.

Looking for off the shelf recommendation

Hey folks! First post, so please be gentle :) I've done a bunch of Hackintosh setups over the years, but currently I just use Win7 on my i7 based desktop. I am a budding writer and I need to get a laptop for writing on the move with. Best bang for buck is the name of the game really. I don't...
