Hey all,
Not been on here for a while as my hackintosh has been working faultlessly :) Although I've now bumped into some trouble! I have MacOS and Windows 7 installed on the same Hard drive but I want to resize my MacOS parition and increase the Windows 7 side. I've had a search around online...
Cheers all, sounds like I may be able to get away with my Apple keyboard in bootloader by using the right Bluetooth adapter. Is there an approved list of bluetooth adapters that work in this way? If not, what are peoples suggestions. Last night I believe reading a few of the Belkin bluetooth...
Hi Guys,
I have an Apple bluetooth wireless keyboard and a cheap USB bluetooth adapter which works perfectly just by plugging it into a USB port in Mountain lion. However, I dual boot and also have Windows 7 on machine so I would like my bluetooth keyboard to work when loading so I am able to...
Just to report back, I installed Windows 7 using the technique below now I can dual boot from the same hard drive perfectly. Awesome! The GTX660 has been working a charm too, I will have to enable 1080 on bootup like you are suggesting! :)
I went into the bios and had a look... I also looked at my motherboards specications and realised it only goes up to 1333mhz :( Guess there's no way of getting it up to 1600mhz if that's the case to suit my RAM?
Oops
Hi all,
I'm running Mountain Lion on my Hackintosh, specs as follows
All seems to be running well but my RAM seems to be coming up as 1333mhz instead of 1600mhz so I don't think it's running at the speeds it should be? I even checked the sticks to make sure and they're definitely labeled...
Installed CUDA :D
It's coming up in System Preferences so all should be well, here's a screen shot below of my Graphics options in System report. Is there anything else I should do to make sure I'm getting the BEST out of my GTX660? After paying out for it, I want to make sure it is working as...
Thank you all, when I'm home this evening I'll give that Nvidia Kuda update a shot. That sound's like the first obvious solution, if not I'll go from there :)
Once the Kuda driver is installed I shouldn't have a problem skimming through my clip and playing it back should I? At the moment it's a...
Hi guys,
I've managed to get my GTX660 2GB working fine on my Mountain Lion unit using the official Nvidia 10.8.2 drivers.
All seems to be well except when I try and use Adobe Premiere Pro for video editing, the play back seems to be very slow and when I apply effects it doesn't seem to cope...
Ok sorry about that, wasn't aware of that. I'll try the Windows 7 set-up tomorrow.
They'll both be on the same drive, I don't quite understand if I need to delete or keep the system reserved part though? Can anyone advise me on that?
Thank you very much! I added just that and it now boots PERFECTLY! Chuffed to say the least :) I've owned this PC a month and I've only just been able to start using it. What a great community this is being able to help each other like this, thanks again!
I'm only running at 1024x800 standard...
OMG I just tried PCIRootUID=0 on boot up and it works fine! How do I make it always do this?!
PROGRESS!! :headbang::headbang::headbang::headbang::headbang::headbang:
I checked my 'Unibeast drive' in -v mode to see why I could only boot in safemode and it says BootCacheControl unable to open 'directory' no such file. Is this due to me using a VGA? Should I try GraphicsEnabler=No?
If you also look in my later screenshots (Once Mountain Lion is actually...
Ok here it is!
1) Fresh install through -x, all I've installed is my DSDT.aml using Multibeast 5.1.2.
2) Restarted after this to see if it would work in normal mode, came up with stop sign on the top of the apple logo
3) Restarted using -v and all looked like it went through ok, nothing stood...
No video card yet, just the onboard HD3000 so I didn't select anything for graphics in Multibeast yet, I wanted to get my system working before I forked out for a card that I can't use. I have to install Mountain Lion in Safemode and as a result I end up only being able to boot in safemode...
Not overclocking, everything is set to kit on bios! Sorry what how do I find out the smbios? If you mean bios version it's F11.
Edit: The i5 SSDT may of been selected on Multibeast which overclocks it? Would this cause the issue?
Selecting one thing at a time does the same thing... I've tried the install quite a few times without all those things and with them etc. I thought I'd follow the thread I found because he had a similar board and more importantly was running an i5 2500k. This is why I gave up really, because I...
