    Audio help Please!!!!Z77x-ud5h

I know where search is, thank you. I used the Thread Starter to start a new thread; I've no idea how it got here. The reason I started my own thread is because none of the other solutions worked (Obviously, or I wouldn't have posted). I have no sound at all, even given the confirmation that...

    Audio help Please!!!!Z77x-ud5h

Sorry to reply to myself, but as I just wrote, I connected the optical out to my system. The system actually tells me there is no optical data, and of course, there is no sound at all. So in short, nothing works on the 898 sound card (built-in). Thoughts? t

    Audio help Please!!!!Z77x-ud5h

Hey - I've got the GA-X79-UD5. Up until yesterday I've been using an AudioBox USB for sound - but just standard left and right. I've installed the non-DSDT 898 kext and it shows up just fine with the Line Out listed twice and such. No having any output at all save a single pop and silence...

    Random Screen Freeze

+1 I get "random" full system lockups as well. My mouse won't move either. At each point I look at the console (I've been noting the exact time and what I've been doing) and this is the last entry for that time segment: 12/19/12 1:06:13.000 PM kernel[0]: Sandbox: sandboxd(89688) deny...

Is there a problem with my CPU?

Hey - thanks for starting this thread as it saved me having to :). I'm not sure if I would call this "similar" or not, but something is a bit amiss. I've got an LGA2011 6 core/12 thread processor in a Gigabyte X79 motherboard. I've got the "customization" set to iMac12,2 as per some...

    Can't Boot after MultiBeast

I had similar problems. In fact, I think my system still hangs a bit something audio related, but I've been too busy to muck about with it, as it boots fine, albeit a bit slower than normal. Not related to audio though, after using MB 5.1.2 or 5.0.2 it would fail a boot. I actually got a...

Really need help with ML IOUSBController::CreateRootHubDevice hang on boot

WOOT! It's done. For the first time in the history of the galaxy this system is running a fully-patched (applications, server app, etc) version of 10.8.2!! Man, it felt so good to watch it boot. So the whole problem actually was manifested in my 10.8.1 install. As you may recall, I was...

Really need help with ML IOUSBController::CreateRootHubDevice hang on boot

You are spot on sir. I actually just found those after doing a kextcache -system-cache and parsing through the error'd kext files. This is indeed the product of a Lion install via those utilities. I'm wondering now if I should just try to do a full, fresh install and migrate my data over from...

Really need help with ML IOUSBController::CreateRootHubDevice hang on boot

That's the thing - there *IS* no /Contents/Plugins in my FakeSMC.kext. Just MacOS and Resources. I've got 10.8.1 so I'm using MB 5.0.2. Should I go ahead and use 5.1.2's FakeSMC.kext file? Should I ignore this and install the 10.8.2 combo and then 5.1.2? t

Really need help with ML IOUSBController::CreateRootHubDevice hang on boot

No need to apologize - I really appreciate you taking the time to find it! So, correct me if I'm wrong, but both cards work just fine, and have been in ML up to 10.8.1. There's never been an issue - as such, I shouldn't be messing about with a fix, right? Regarding this "ITEIT87x"...

Really need help with ML IOUSBController::CreateRootHubDevice hang on boot

OK - I've done all of the above; both the perl statements and the chown statement. Repaired permissions as well. This is the restored 10.8.1 backup. I still get the ITEIT87x hang *IF* I boot with -x, etc. I compared my org.chameleon.boot, and it was the same as what boot flags I was using...

Really need help with ML IOUSBController::CreateRootHubDevice hang on boot

Hey, thanks. It's the latest stable build 12F or something (from memory, away from my desk). There are 3 revisions past mine, but they are all beta and I didn't want to go there. I've only used the USB2.0 from the get-go. The 3.0 on the Asus actually didn't work, so I'm used to using...

Really need help with ML IOUSBController::CreateRootHubDevice hang on boot

Interesting update - maybe this will help. I restored my 10.8.1 install as per above. It boots just fine with no flags. However, if I use the classic -x -v GraphicsEnabler=no PCIRootUID=1 npci=0x2000, I actually get a hang at ITEIT87x again. Same with -s. But not with a normal boot. That's...

Really need help with ML IOUSBController::CreateRootHubDevice hang on boot

Really need help with ML IOUSBController::CreateRootHubDevice hang on boot [SOLVED] [SOLVED - SEE POST 16] Hey guys - I normally try to solve all these types of problems on my own, but I could really use some help on this one. I'll try to keep the "story" short enough to hold your interest...

    MultiBeast 5.x results in a non-bootable machine

I've tried this and it doesn't work. Just installing FakeSMC.kext all by itself fails, even after the kextcache commands. As it stands, *none* of the "Drivers" files will install - everything results in Installation Failed. Is there an installation log or something for Multibeast?

MB 5.0 FAkeSMC.kext causes installation failed when installing new software

+1. I actually can't install any of the Misc drivers, and even the Ethernet driver fails. I'm going to check my permissions right now and see if that's it.

[Solved] [PCI Configuration Begin] Mountain Lion stuck on white screen

This was driving me nuts. No matter what I tried, it didn't work. PCIRootUID=0/1 GraphicsEnabler=no, -x, -v, nothing. I even tried the Moses=FrogRain just on the off chance that would do something, and no joy. Then I came across a post where someone did a npci=0x2000. I tried that, and...

UniBeast: Install OS X Mountain Lion on Any Supported Intel-based PC

Article: UniBeast: Install OS X Mountain Lion on Any Supported Intel-based PC What exactly is your expectation? It's a custom boot loader which then rebuilds the retail ML installion on the USB. You obviously have to have a Mac do download it, unless you had someone hand you a fat USB with...

An unknown error has occurred on apple id

This is something odd. One system works fine, two others have the "unknown error occurred." I can't get passed it (past it? Which is right?) and have done every single fix-attempt I can find. I'm calling Apple next and getting help. I may have to be "economical" with the facts regarding what...

    Quick Unibeast Question

Hey there. That would be on the target system; the one you will install ML on. I've had no issues installing with addition items selected as they will not be used. But you are smart being cautious, particularly your first build. T
