You might want to get a copy of Disk Warrior. You can boot from it and then rebuilt your hard drive. Its a lot more powerful than the Disk Utility in MAC. Its saved my bacon on a couple of occasions.

Well I did the combo update - after making sure I had a clone. Rebooted and all is working as it was before! To be safe I ran Multibeast/SYSTEM after the reboot. :headbang:

Dont use the sleep at all so never tried it - my Hack is a media and web server - headless.

Look around on this board - there are lots of ideas. BUT first you need to know what you want to use the machine for.

If you have the original drive available - and an external enclosure - you might want to try cloning the original (using SUPERDUPER or CARBON COPY CLONER) - then replace the old drive with the new one - should be a breeze.
