Oldest Dell Optiplex that works with Ventura (maybe Dell Optiplex 3080 i5 10500)

I already did this. https://www.tonymacx86.com/search/17427326/?q=optiplex+Ventura&o=date but not a lot of luck. People are giving what they think should work but very little. Mainly people with problems. This was why I was trying to see if there was a list of pre-builts that work well...

Oldest Dell Optiplex that works with Ventura (maybe Dell Optiplex 3080 i5 10500)

For good value pre-built, not mind a bit of faring about. Or is it just the older Optiplex doesn't work? Maybe a Dell Optiplex 3080 with Core i5 10500 although I really want to go for i7. Is there a compatibility table for pre-built? Or has anyone got 3080 it working? Ben

All the listing says is Radeon 2GB, is this likely to be a goer? I am hoping to get it working with a 1440 monitor.

    Is a Gigabyte GTX 970 G1 4GB a good upgrade for a GeForce GTX 660 Ti 2GB

Thanks a lot. I was expecting to need to upgrade to the latest MacOS, every time I do an upgrade it seems to be easier, hope this is the case with Sierra. I really don't want to have to mess around with additional drivers so that great. I tend to go for the gigabyte cards, the Gigabyte...

Want to build a dual CPU system

Hi. I want to build a dual i7 system to edit video. What motherboards and processors do people recommend. Does not have to be state of the art as I don't want to break the bank. 2.8Ghz for eatchCPU is fine. Can't find much on the forum regarding this type of system. Its a real shame the...

Is AMD Radion R9 280X still best bet for FCPx

I should hope so, they are twice the price of the 280X 3GB version. The 290 4GB is actually half the price of the 280X and seems to be a little more powerful.

Is AMD Radion R9 280X still best bet for FCPx

OK, they all seem to consume a lot of power (twice my 660Ti). The 290 is a but above my budget so think I will go for the 280X but the toxic edition seems to be the only one easily available in the UK for Sapphire (Sapphire cards seem to be the ones to go for). wondering if this will work...

What should I upgrade next (for video editing)

BBC news has adopted FCPx and there has been at least one BBC documentary project cut on it. My last few projects were cut on FCPx and it is a joy to use and enables me to cut quicker. I Recently did a 10 day edit of a 30 min doc about the oceans and our impact on them. It was OK but I really...
