Oldest Dell Optiplex that works with Ventura (maybe Dell Optiplex 3080 i5 10500)

For good value pre-built, not mind a bit of faring about.

Or is it just the older Optiplex doesn't work? Maybe a Dell Optiplex 3080 with Core i5 10500 although I really want to go for i7.

Is there a compatibility table for pre-built?

Or has anyone got 3080 it working?

but not a lot of luck. People are giving what they think should work but very little. Mainly people with problems.

This was why I was trying to see if there was a list of pre-builts that work well (do not have to be optiplex).

Is the CPU mainly the issue?

It primarily depends on you doing the work to get it working well. If the tenth gen doesn't look feasible for you then buy an 8th or 9th gen Dell or HP with UHD 630 and do what it takes to get it working. Many other people are using 8th and 9th gen pre-builts with success.
