My build has been running High Sierra splendidly for nearly two years until today. Initially, it lost connection to the internet (via ethernet). Upon restart, it got caught in a boot loop. I've tried -x and debug=0x100 to no avail. Just before booting into Clover (version 4458), it posts this...
I’m doing a fresh install on new NAND M.2 drive, running on the Rehabman branch of Clover v2.4k r4444 due to a previous kernel cache error I just resolved. Another post indicated disabling SATA in the peripherals tab of my BIOS would solve the problem, but it just resulted in a different cause...
Updated my build with a 500GB NAND M.2 drive to dual boot High Sierra and Windows 10. I've tried all three alternate OsxAptioFixDrv-64 drivers and none solve the problem. Any other ideas?
My hack only boots into BIOS when I press the startup button. Once I'm in BIOS I can boot to Clover and startup by hitting the restart button on my case. The computer is functional, but the extra step is a nuisance.
I previously tried installing a patched IOBluetoothFamily.kext which resulted in a kernel panic. Having solved that and updated to High Sierra for compatibility, how do I go about setting this up? The Buyer's Guide indicated this adapter would work out of box, is this indicative of another...
I've had Sierra running for three weeks now and it's been working perfectly. But today I turned on my computer to find it booted into the BIOS rather than Clover and my SSD wasn't on the boot list. I tried switching out the SATA cable and it booted successfully once, but the problem has since...
I've made it through the OS install, I've run MultiBeast, installed Clover manually on my SSD, edited my config.plist, and installed all necessary kexts via Clover Configurator, but my new build still cant run without the install disk inserted. I think all I'm missing is a functioning...
Just booted into Sierra (10.12.6) on my new build. Went through MultiBeast and installed everything like normal. Used the new method of installing the NVIDIA Web Driver via Clover Configurator on my EFI recovery partition and was feeling pretty pleased with myself. Until I tried to restart to...
Just upgraded to Z270 architecture and thought I'd update to High Sierra as well. Changed all the Clover settings to match @JMunson11's build guide success-asus-rog-maximus-ix-hero-i7-7700k-32gb-ram-intel-630-hd.222316
System runs the install disk. Loading bar gets a little more than halfway...
Attempted to do a fresh install of High Sierra with Unibeast 8 and got this error when I tried to create my drive. I made sure the drive formatting was correct and that I had it set to GUID Partition Table. I deleted every copy of the High Sierra installer and started from scratch to no avail...
I'm upgrading most of my parts tomorrow, the new motherboard is an ASUS ROG Strix Z270E, the new CPU is an i7 7700K, and the new GPU is an ASUS ROG Strix GTX 1080 Ti. However I won't be replacing my SSD, so I'd like to avoid doing a fresh install if possible. Is there a way to update my kexts...
Hoped I wouldn't be posting here again this soon. I installed a GTX 1080 last week, and it's been running great, until I did a 3D render today. The computer got through about 15 frames and promptly crashed and restarted. Not sure if this is due to a heat problem or if it's indicative of a larger...
I just upgraded from my EVGA GTX 970 to aid in my animation work. Long story short, upon installation of the new card (it's a Gigabyte Windforce if that helps) I was greeted with a short kernel panic. This may have been because I tried to update the web driver before installation. I'm running...
I'm looking into building my second Hackintosh and I want to do it right this time. Here's my build so far:
i7-6700K
GA-Z170-HD3
Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB (2x8GB)
Intel 730 Series SSD 240GB
EVGA GeForce GTX 1070 8GB SC Gaming ACX 3.0 Black Edition
I just need to make sure all the parts will...
I've been struggling with network issues on my Hackintosh for over a year now, and in my troubleshooting I decided to update my kexts and drivers. After doing so and restarting, I get a kernel panic boot loop on the Apple logo. I just finished updating to Sierra, is there a way I can solve the...
I use my Hackintosh for 3D rendering with GPU acceleration in OS X, but my Blender projects are becoming larger in scale, and my GTX 970 simply doesn't have the memory to process the scenes I'm working on. So out of curiosity, if I were to invest the $4500 premium to buy a new 24GB Quadro M6000...
Hey everyone!
I just finished doing some cosmetic upgrades on my build. It still needs a bit of improvement, but I'm really happy with the results!
Due to the limited selection of compatible parts, making a great looking Hackintosh is an accomplishment; so this thread will be dedicated to...
Hey everyone! My build works flawlessly with the exception of one annoyance when working on a video editing project in ScreenFlow 5. When I try to export or upload a project to YouTube, the clips that aren't computer-generated and shot with a camera render out like this:
I built my Hackintosh...
The title says it all. This is my second time installing OS X on this machine, after Yosemite. I switched to Windows 10, but I'm moving back to OS X for work. I get to the Clover Boot menu after setting up the BIOS and select to boot from the USB. The loading bar gets halfway across the screen...
My build has been running OS X flawlessly, but due to some upcoming game releases, I've decided to dual boot Yosemite and Windows 10. I've tried with a Windows 10 ISO and a Windows 7 disk in an Apple SuperDrive. The issue is that I don't have a DVD drive installed in my system. And every time I...
