I'm on older hardware (Haswell 4690k on a GA-Z97X-UD5H motherboard). I'd like to have lossless audio through Apple Music, which I heard can be achieved by switching the SMBIOS to iMacPro1,1...is this okay to do on my hardware config?
::edit:: apparently you can gain lossless audio through Apple...
I have finally updated from 10.13.4 to 10.13.6, but lost use of my USB 3.0. Last time I applied this patch, and I see a few posts here saying that a patch isn't needed...not sure what to do. I saw another post from Stork saying that we might have to update our kexts from the download folder...
Is there anything I should know concerning either the chip, motherboard, or the operating system? Do I mainly have to adjust settings in the BIOS, or is there anything in El Capitan/Clover that I have to alter?
Anyone with the same configuration want to share their settings?
I'm having one noticeable problem running Yosemite on Clover, when I wake my computer from sleep (after an 8 hour period, when I wake up) my computer gives me a notification that "The application Finder can't be opened". If I press "OK", the same notification pops up again, and this repeats...
I made a clean install with Unibeast/Multibeast as my entry into the Hackintosh world a few weeks ago. I had all the OS and applications on an SSD, but migrated my user account to a HDD.
I've become more interested in what Clover has to offer with its easier method of updating, and a slightly...
I bought the IOGear 4.0 adapter that was suggested on this site, but it's range is pitiful (anywhere from 5 - 10 feet). I'm looking for bluetooth that will extend to another room, like my iMac does. Will this Gigabyte expansion card work without fuss?
I had many problems trying to figure out my graphics card compatibility on my first build. I made many fresh installs over the course, when ultimately it was a simple fix. During that time, I would link my iCloud account, and I would get an email from Apple notifying me that my account was...
I apologize for the noob question (been a Mac user all my life). If I have a GTX 970 installed, and turn off internal graphics...I'm assuming I can only use the ports off of my GTX, and not make use of the motherboards Thunderbolt connectivity with a Thunderbolt Display?
I'm not sure which section to post this under, I'm assuming Graphics...since my display is connected to my graphics card. Whenever I boot up Yosemite the status bar gets about 25% through, and then the signal cuts out. I have to turn off my monitor, and then turn it back on to see the login...
Every single time I pop in my card, I can't boot into Yosemite. The progress bar gets about 1/4 of the way through, and then halts. When I type in '-v' it says "IOUSBFamily did not receive enough extra current for the SuperSpeed device (4-port usb 3.0 hub) at 0x14b00000, asked for 400mA but...
