Hi all,
Hoping if theres someone who can help me solve my problem. Thanks in advance for the advice.

So i run El capitan 10.11.4 with win10 in separate hdds. I connected all HDDs (win10 & osx) to sata3 controllers set to AHCI. One day, out of the blue, the hackintosh refuse to boot and stuck in cold boot (unable to pass bios logo). I disconnected the Osx hdd, set the sata mode to IDE and win10 can boot and load just fine. Its when i connect the Osx hdd to sata controller then the bios get stuck again. I havent even got the chance to enter bios to change the sata mode to AHCI to boot Osx. Pc just stuck at gigabyte logo, not responding to any keypress when the Osx hdd is connected.

As temporary solution, i move the Osx HDD to Gsata controller set to AHCI and leave the Sata controller set to IDE. Everything run smooth as before, and to change os, i just select the corresponding HDD in bios boot override.

The problem with this solution is, El cap cannot see the win10 hdd because the win10 hdd is connected to sata controller set to IDE, and vise versa. So, its a bit of pita to copy/move files around at the moment. I hv to provide external hdd connected to the usb just to move/copy files between system.

My question is, "Is there a way that El cap can see hdd connected to sata controller set to IDE mode? Or vice versa (win10 can see Osx hdd in AHCI mode)?"

Specs are as followed :
Intel i7 4790k
GA Z97x gaming 7
Corsair vengeance DDR3 4GBx2
nVidia GTX960 2gb

Any advice is appreciated. Thx all.

Moved to Multi Booting.

Just for clarification, are the drives that are on the Sata controller that is set to IDE actually IDE drives or SATA ?
If they really are IDE then you need a kext to enable the OS to 'see' them.

Try using the ApplePCIIDE.kext and editing the config.plist to enable "FIX IDE".
