iTunes 11 Now Available: Redesigned User Interface

You shouldn't have a problem upgrading… but personally I wish I hadn't. The interface is, in my view, massively downgraded and more difficult to use with the removal of coverflow. There is also a raft of features that have gone MIA; gapless playback editor, duplicate finder, DJ, the ability to...

    Economic Wifi Device for ML?

Apple Airport Extreme in a mini PCIE adapter, score the parts off eBay and it should run you around €25.

    Apple ID Problems

Try turning Certificate Revocation List (CRL) off in the Keychain Access utility. Start Keychain Access (in applications/utilities), go to preferences, click on the certificates button and turn CRL off.

    Mountain Lion Geekbench scores?

Up very slightly from 10.7 on an upgrade install. Adobe CS6 feels much snappier under ML, and that's what I built this Hack for in the first place so I'm happy enough.

"Your device or computer could not be verified" App store error in Mountain Lion

This worked for me: • Quit App Store • Go to Keychain Acccess • Open preferences • Go to Certificates • Turn Certificate Revocation List (CRL) OFF • Try to log in again No guarantees but it's worth a punt.

    UniBeast 1.5.2 Update

Great work as ever but dammit - halfway through making my ML installer drive with 1.5.1 then I check back and find the update has come out since I downloaded it this morning!

ML not to support older Mac hardware??!!

Given the amount of money Apple require of people who buy their hardware, they throw their customers under the bus much too quickly. Moving Mac OS further towards an iOS style walled garden is really beginning to worry me as well.

Legality and using broken Mac as a computer case

The term "Apple branded" does seem a curious word choice, but I suspect you would need deep pockets to argue the point the point successfully. Morally I see nothing wrong with installing OS X on non Apple hardware provided that you obtained the software legally.

    G5 Hack: GA-Z68AP-D3 / Intel Core i5 2500K / 10.7.2

Doesn't matter how it goes to sleep or is woken up - it's related, apparently, to using an Apple keyboard. Some say it's only the aluminium keyboard but using an old Apple Pro keyboard that came with an early Mac Pro makes no difference so I guess it's Apple keyboards with a built in USB hub...

    G5 Hack: GA-Z68AP-D3 / Intel Core i5 2500K / 10.7.2

Sleep issues on Gigabyte Z68 boards seem to be more dependent on what you have plugged in to the USB ports than on the hardware revision.

Data Collection & Possible solution to Z68 USB issues! Vote!

Re: Please Vote! Data collection for possible Z68 USB issues. I had figured as much. I will just use the extension cable that came with it so that at least I don't have to keep reaching around the back of the computer to replug - just replug the extension connectors. Cmd-E'ing the WD before...

Data Collection & Possible solution to Z68 USB issues! Vote!

Re: Please Vote! Data collection for possible Z68 USB issues. Apple wired aluminium keyboard. Uninstall was by moving RTL81xx.kext from S/L/E to trash, emptying trash, installed official Realtek driver from Multibeast then repaired permissions and rebooted. The WD will reconnect after 45...
