[SUCCESS] Gigabyte Designare Z390 (Thunderbolt 3) + i7-9700K + AMD RX 580

Did you get your Bluetooth and WiFi working with that kext?
Yes, but my Apple Magic devices are unresponsive after waking up from the sleep. I was hoping BlueToolFixup would resolve that issue.

** Enabling AppleVTD on Z390 Designare with No Impact to WiFi/Ethernet **
Credit: @yosoyoco

Finally we are able to enable AppleVTD without incurring the side effects of broken WiFi and Ethernet. Thanks to @yosoyoco for solving the final piece of the puzzle!

Steps:
  • BIOS --> Enable VT-d
  • OpenCore --> Uncheck DisableIoMapper from Kernel Quirks
  • OpenCore --> Remove dart=0 from boot-args if it exists
  • OpenCore --> Add SSDT-DMAR.aml (attached) to ACPI --> Add section as shown
  • OpenCore --> Delete DMAR from ACPI --> Delete section as shown
  • Reboot
Once this has been more fully tested I'll incorporate it into next month's OpenCore 0.7.2 release.

Warning:
  • The attached SSDT is only for Gigabyte Z390 Designare only.
I need help with this. Please. I have done everything and my Wifi/Bluetooth are not working. Not even the Ethernet ports. Please i need to get my system up and running.

Some questions:
  • Which version of macOS?
  • Which version of OpenCore?
  • Which version of BIOS?
  • Which WiFi/Bluetooth card are you using? (On-board Intel or Broadcom PCIe?)

Good question. I haven't tried booting Monterey without that kext, but it would be worth attempting. BlueToolFixup is a replacement for all Bluetooth Injectors, but if we're not injecting Bluetooth firmware in Monterey then it might be okay to skip BlueToolFixup.

Once again, I have not personally tested Monterey without BlueToolFixup...
Fenvi T919 worked on my old Designare without any kext on Monterey. It is useless for BCM94360CD

It might be best to disable AppleVTD at this time. If you're not using Thunderbolt devices such as Antelope Audio Interfaces, then AppleVTD is not necessary.

To disable AppleVTD, see the bottom half of this post:

Well actually thats why i need this tutorial. I have a avid carbon and use the AVB protocol. Using the guide i get to see the Avid Carbon on devices o er network using a Tb3 to Tb2 to ethernet. But my wifi/Bluetooth wont work, if i disable, wifi/Bluetooth works but won’t recognize the apple adapters for AVB. Did you get me?

Everyone else who has enabled AppleVTD has not encountered a problem with WiFi and Ethernet. That's why I am puzzled. Are you sure you enabled AppleVTD properly? Did you delete existing DMAR table and replace with new one?
