CorrectWith the Designare Z390 you will get 2 TB3 ports, what if you add another TB3 AIC and jump pins 1 and 3, will this effectively give you 4 TB3 ports?
This seems quite normal. Have you tried this on a real Mac?Hi all, sorry another quick question.
If I open a folder with lots of photos (I'm talking around 15GB worth of photos), and if try and scroll through them (whilst clicking random ones to show a quick preview) quickly using my apple mouse, it often lags quite a bit (with the preview. I faintly remember recalling that we have to do some form of iGPU fix in order for preview to better display JPEGs, or is that a moot point now, or, is there something else I should be doing?
Thanks
Hello @Errabundo,Hello.
As I said earlier in this enormous post, I was successful in installingCatalina with that guide:
[SUCCESS] Gigabyte Designare Z390 (Thunderbolt 3) + i7-9700K + AMD RX 580
Please compress and post your copy of USBInjectAll 0.7.5. Maybe there are some shenanigans going on inside! Here it goes!www.tonymacx86.com
All is perfect, but I have two problems. Both of them I think are fully reported, but there are lot of solutions and I'm lost!
1. Sleep mode: Then I left the computer ON, for a long time (i.e. the whole night), at morning the fans are all ON.
Is there a way of entering in Sleep mode and switching OFF the fans?
2. In that situation, for recovering from Sleep, I have to press the computer "switch on" button for rebooting it. Keyboard and mouse don't respond.
3. When I force "Sleep mode" at the Apple system menu (apple logo), It goes to sleep but in less than a minute it restarts.
I can obviously switch off the computer every time instead of going to sleep, but what do you think solutions are?
Thank you for your help.
Fernando

Both of them have a USB connection cable that fits into the USB internal MB (z379 Designare) connection.
But the MB only has one internal connection!
...
Because your 13” MacBook Pro produces the same result, but Windows does not, it means:
If you press and hold the Option key inside System Preferences —> Displays, do you get extra options such as Refresh rate, etc.?
- Monitor is okay
- Video cable is okay
- It’s a MacOS issue (not Hackintosh issue)
Upgrading from 10.14.4 to 10.14.6 should be straightforward:No i dont get extra options for refresh rate.. But when i click the low resolution mode - then i get refresh rate options and i am def running on 60hz with the DP cable (with the HDMI cable its 30hz).
I am currently running Mojave 14.4.4 -- how can i upgrade to the latest Mojave? maybe that will help.. thanks..
Thank you @CaseySJ.Hello @Errabundo,
Please see the Sleep Aid here:
[SUCCESS] Gigabyte Designare Z390 (Thunderbolt 3) + i7-9700K + AMD RX 580
@CaseySJ So tried to BOOT using my M2P slotted NVMe Main Clone- Same result as SSD. about 10 mins of idle with no input and computer reboots back to clover menu. Also tried, X.M.P- Disabled which dropped ram from 3200mhz to 2133mhz Still gave me the same result as prior, 10 mins idle, reboot...www.tonymacx86.com

Fans should turn off. One of the steps in the Sleep Aid is the process of elimination, particularly with USB devices. Often we have to go through that process to determine what is interfering with sleep.Thank you @CaseySJ.
I knew that post, but I'm not sure about my problem: Is it normal keeping fans active while sleeping?
Perhaps it's not an issue.
At the Sleep Aid post , It's not mentioned.
Thank you for the USB splitter!!
- Are you using a Samsung 970 EVO Plus SSD?
- Also try moving the Fenvi FV-HB1200 to a different slot. Remember to shutdown the computer and flip power switch on PSU to OFF when adding or removing devices on the motherboard.
