[SUCCESS] Gigabyte Designare Z390 (Thunderbolt 3) + i7-9700K + AMD RX 580

@CaseySJ @S1lla

Have you experienced a slow down at beginning of apple boot scrolling bar for around 5 seconds ?
It's funny that you mentioned that. I have noticed since installing the Alpine card (although I wouldn't want to bet a paycheck that it hadn't happened before) that in verbose mode, there is a line a second or two into boot as follows:

ACPI: Executed 45 blocks of module-level executable AML code

and the boot does pause for about 5 seconds at this point.

Did you used the firmware I posted or did you modify by yourself ?
Pin 3/Pin 5 bridged ? @StefanAM

@CaseySJ
MISO MOSI CLK are supplied only by CH341A depending on power supplied on its Vcc pin.
That means MISO MOSI CLK are dynamic signals and shouldn't have to be connected on 3,3 DC voltage.
If we have a regulator on this board that mean it is only for CH341A power supply (no other active component onboard).

But It is probably a design mistake on Jumper layout !!

Here we have board schematic :
@CaseySJ
You are right for MISO MOSI CLK voltage level. By this schematic, we can see that CH341A is always supplied by 5V and Jumper is for another feature :( . 3.3V Power supply is only for target chip!

I can read, write, erase with no problem in mac, linux and windows with CH341A. 3,2 v between pin 4 and 8.

Between pins 4 (GND) and 8 (Vcc) you will see 3.3V. But for the actual SPI signal pins (CS, CLK, MISO, MOSI) you will see 5V.

Update:
I should again mention that many people (including yourself) have not experienced any problems when SPI signal pins are at 5V. So I'm not sure how dangerous this is...

Good thing you didn't "bet a paycheck" because those 45 blocks of module-level AML code are normal. They're usually there.

I have F9b Bios but i can't see thunderbolt option
This is very strange. Is anyone running BIOS F9b? If so, do you see Thunderbolt Configuration?
