Hey everyone,

I have no idea what I am doing wrong with my installer but I am trying to just get past the first damn step and this is what keeps happening. I am using unibeast to make the boot drive. I cant for the life of me figure it out so any help is appreciated !

PS I have the 2018 blade 15 advanced model with the 1060, 32gb of ram, 1tb samsung drive, and 144hz refresh rate screen. Don't know if these make a difference but figured it was worth sharing. LMK what else you need

I got it working and successfully installed. Had to run a virtual machine to get the proper version of high Sierra, but that was what was stopping the install very short.

Would you be able to give them a go and report back? I want to update to Catalina, and I need Bluetooth, but don’t want to go through the headache if it absolutely won’t work. Also, any idea about potential for NVIDIA support in Catalina?

Maybe sometime I will, but not now. Some people report that it is working with new kexts. Nvidia - RIP

It still requires more testing for battery life but I believe the Brcm patch from acidanthera's github fixes the bluetooth issue.

im dualbooting windows on it and i cant get the trackpad to work. the trackpad works fine in macos but not windows?

This doesn't make any sense. Did you do a full re-install of Windows?

anyone have any fix for the terrible battery life? I think I lose a 1% every like 5 minutes. I believe that I have hibernate mode set up properly, and I have the GPU disabled. I don't, however, know which files to attach to this to show you whats currently goin on

If you're getting roughly 2-2.5 hours of battery life while using the laptop, that's about normal for this hackintosh.

There's no power management for NVMe's on hacks yet, that's what the poor battery life has been traced down to. For now.

You can actually improve the battery life quite a lot by undervolting the cpu. My battery life for coding on medium brightness is about 4 to 5 hours.

how did you undervolt in MacOS? I have a 2017 blade 15 with a gtx 1070. I tried to unlock the undervolt menu in the bios but its locked out.
