[Guide] Install High Sierra or Mojave on the Dell Optiplex 7010 / 9010 Desktop PC - Revision II

How could I tell if I was having issues and needed a specific-built SSDT for this 3470S?
I've never used a CPU PM SSDT that didn't match so no idea. It's very easy to make a new SSDT for your 3470s so just follow that guide and replace the existing i7-3770 one. That will give you the best performance and save some energy too.

Working with an Optiplex 9010 here. I'm trying to follow the guide. I had flashed the bios with the firmware upgrade. Did it through Etcher and Freedos. I'm stuck at the USB stick install part. I have a USB created, and I input it into the front USB slot, but I will not show up as a bootable drive in the bios. In fact, when UEFI is selected, I get no boot sequence on the bios screen. Do I create boot options? (see attached).

I thinking it may be a bad USB stick, although I've tried this on two different sticks and both yield the same results. Every time I run the Unibeast Mojave installer, I don't get a mounted EFI volume on my desktop. I can go into the EFI folder and put in all the required kexts and files. But, I don't get the mounted volume.

Finally, when I erase the USB stick, it still says SanDisk Cruzer or whatever the USB disk media is (see attached).

Any help on this would be great...

First thing to do is disconnect all the other internal/external drives before trying to create the USB and also when installing. macOS.

I appreciate the help, but I originally created both on my macbook 2017 which only has one SSD. The screen shot is on my hackintosh desktop as I decided to try it again with Unibeast. I still wasn't able to rename the SanDisk. I'm trying it now with another USB stick, currently working on it and will unmount all other drives when I make the new USB Unibeast installer. Let me be clear on your instructions:

I am to erase the USB Stick the full drive name - format it Mac Extended Journaled, GUID partition.

I'm trying this and I get this error (See attached)

@fragdemuerte - your images of your BIOS seem to show that you cannot select Legacy Boot options. This may be because the Bios is set to 'UEFI Secure Boot WITH Boot Protection' that means you cant boot from anything unless it has been authorised in a way that won't work here - you dont want that; you cant boot from your usb - because it hasnt been authorised.
First check the state of your Intel Management Engine and follow the instructions on how to control Intel ME if it is enabled (and to find out how to tell) see this thread under 3. Password Protect MEBx

SecureBoot > Secure Boot Enable - should be disabled

Edit : The rest of this applies to the 7020 NOT 7010 -
Then restart and interrupt Boot with F12 and Set Boot Mode -

Use F12 to get to the boot options screen and under 'Other Options:' select 'Change Boot Mode Settings'
If boot mode is NOT
'UEFI Boot, Secure Boot Off'
set it to that, confirm and exit, or
if it is already set to that, press escape.

It will reboot and you should interrupt boot again and go back into the BIOS and change
General > UEFI: BootPathSecurity to
(.) Never

Nicksoph - Thanks for helping! I think I'm having two separate issues... One is the BIOS not giving me boot options, the other is the Unibeast and USB stick not getting me a bootable stick.

I had the following all marked according to the instructions from the main tutorial:

Boot Sequence: UEFI
Secure boot: Disabled
Sata Controller: ACHI
Serial Port: Disabled
Legacy ROMs unchecked - I am planning to use onboard graphics
Video Display: Default
Integrated NIC - Enabled (edited)

See attached.

Load Optimized Defaults after you've flashed the BIOS and before you make any other changes to it.
There is a "Load Defaults" tab in the lower central part of the window. Click on that and then click Apply.

Go to Boot Sequence and set the Boot List Option to UEFI. Under Advanced Boot Options leave the Legacy Option ROMs box unchecked unless you have an older graphics card without UEFI capability. For example a GTX 650 by Nvidia which is only Legacy capable. The GT 710 and all 10 series Pascal cards have UEFI capability. Also leave Legacy Option ROMs unchecked if you are using built in HD4000 graphics. Under System Configuration disable the Serial Port.

Secure Boot is disabled by default. SATA Operation should be set to AHCI by default. Check both of these and if they are set to anything else, change them. If you don't plan on ever booting your Dell remotely, change Integrated NIC to Enabled instead of Enabled w/PXE. If your CPU has HD4000 and you have no dedicated graphics, leave the Primary Display set to Auto. If you have installed an AMD or Nvidia card select that under Video -> Primary Display

Summary of BIOS Setting Changes

General

Boot Sequence -> Boot List Option -> UEFI
Advanced Boot Options -> Uncheck - Enable Legacy Option ROMs
System Configuration
Serial Port -> Disabled
Sata Operation -> AHCI
Integrated NIC -> Enabled
Video
Primary Display -> Auto (For HD4000)
Primary Display -> Nvidia or AMD HD Graphics (if using a graphics card)

Ill fire one up to check but if they cant choose Legacy boot options - that's a sign of the same thing - where does it get changed on the 7010?

Just looked at your new pictures - which bit do you change to make 'Boot List Option' Legacy available (greyed out/Not Greyed out)

One is the BIOS not giving me boot options, the other is the Unibeast and USB stick not getting me a bootable stick.

You need to either uncheck or delete everything here that you don't want. i.e. Diskette, CD/DVD etc.
You want the USB device first in your boot sequence.
