[SUCCESS] Gigabyte Designare Z390 (Thunderbolt 3) + i7-9700K + AMD RX 580

It was from Amazon with Prime delivery from the same link. So I'm guessing it everything is fine here. Could it be based on SMBIOS values by any chance?
I believe SMBIOS can also play a role here, so trying a different SMBIOS name is also a good idea (particularly if you are in the early stages and have not activated your software licenses).

Honestly little scared to mess around with SMBIOS to lose the iCloud services - may need some guidance here :) Will try other slots this evening first

Sapphire Vega 64 reference
I used your first discription Vega Fan and Crash.
I was supprised, that the memory got full without a game playing!

I want to change the fan of the vega do I have to delete all entries of vega? Than I am using normal fans.

For my Vega 64, I only use the KEXT uploaded in my earlier post for control of the Vega 64 card. No other references to the Vega are used in Clover except for the "Arbitrary" comments to make the Apple System Information window look proper. These comments have no bearing on the Vega functioning and are not necessary. (These comments are on the Config file I also uploaded.)

My understanding from various readings on this forum is that Whatevergreen can behave strangely with Vega 64 if loaded in different areas. So I keep Whatevergreen and my Vega64 KEXT in the folder on the EFI (Clover/kexts/other/). I did NOT load them into the /L/E/ folder with the other KEXTs as is often recommended. (I think I once did and had some crashes, so pulled them out.) The KEXTs I keep in /L/E/ are AppleALC, IntelMausiEthernet, Lilu, SmallTreeIntel82576 and USBInjectAll. All the others I leave in Clover/kexts/other/

I'll check the Firmware Version, Locale and Country Code of my BCM94360CS2 later this evening and compare against yours. If there are problematic versions of this card, I'd like to see if we can identify the good ones from the bad. Meanwhile, let us know whether it works in a long slot.

@CaseySJ , just a quick update

I just put the card in the lower slot and the same effect - can't turn on WiFI. More over the BT got worse - I'm experiencing huge delay while typing. Locale and Country code still showing RoW and X2.

just wondering if you had a chance to take a look at the firmware?

Here is BT info:

@avtor

Here are my settings for WiFi and Bluetooth.

WiFi: Country Code = US, but Locale = RoW. Also note the Supported PHY Modes. Your parameter list in Post 2416 does not include these.

Bluetooth: Same chipset, same firmware.

Here's a procedure to change country code. You may have to read it carefully if you wish to try this. You might also want to consider having the card replaced.

@CaseySJ ,

I really appreciate your help! I have already ordered a return for PCI card and at the point of making a decision wether to return BMC94360CS2 as well and get the same one as @rj510 - BCM94360CD and the card all together which is almost 3 times more $$; OR just take and try another PCI card for my current BMC94360CS2 ...

While booting up I noticed bunch of errors before getting to Apple logo:

Airport_Brcm43xx::syncPowerState WWEN[disabled]
....
wlc_phy_radio2069_rccal: SPINWAINT ERROR : RCCAL invalid
wl0: fatal error, reinitializing, total count of ....
....
wl0: 802.11 driver watchdog, reinit reason[41]
.....

I'm thinking this could be also a reason why it is not showing Supported PHY Modes and won't turn on all together

Thanks, I'll take these points on board and make those system changes and get a bigger power supply. I'm thinking of going for 100 watts looool I mean't 1000 watts, I ended up ordering 750 watts hopefully that does the trick
Wake from Sleep
I have removed "darkwake=0" from my own system. I don't mind pressing 2 keys to wake-from-sleep. I made this change several weeks ago and I think this may be more reliable. Sleep and Wake have been working flawlessly for weeks.

Also, in System Preferences --> Energy Saver, disable "Wake for network access" and "Enable Power Nap". (Although I haven not personally encountered any issues with "Power Nap" enabled.)

Also delete your com.apple.PowerManagement.* preferences files as described here.

Freeze Issues
The i9-9900K and the Vega are power hungry devices under load. Even though your freeze issues might stem from other sources, it is nevertheless a good idea to check and upgrade your power supply. I would recommend using a simple Kill-a-Watt meter to monitor wattage under load. If you have sustained consumption at or above 500W, it's time for a beefier power supply.
CaseySJ, I'd agree with your recommendations.

I'm using an EVGA 850W Titanium PS with my i9-9900K and Vega 64 and have no problems with freezes, etc. When I do testing on the Vega, its power requirements frequently shoot up to 550W by itself. So I think a 750W PS might be minimum for the whole computer, when using a 9900K along with a Vega 64, considering other PS demands.

I'm sure you meant 1000 watts! :)

As @trs96 mentioned in an earlier post in this thread, the BCM94360CD is a newer and better card, but strong demand has pushed prices higher. Ultimately the choice is yours, and retailers like Amazon and NewEgg have excellent return/exchange policies.

The SPINWAIT error suggests that the macOS device driver is expecting a reply or IRQ from the card, and is not getting it. This suggests an electrical fault, so no need to troubleshoot this any further. It's just a matter of deciding what to replace it with.

Copy the red value from Old (the original your) SMBIOS, to New SMBIOS, and no iCloud lose...
The number on RT Variables (if you use it) "MLB", must contain the same value of "SMBIOS Board serial Number".
