@patrickfogle,

One thing to try would be disabling the following two Clover ACPI fixes :-
  • change GFX0 to IGPU
  • change PEGP to GFX0
WhatEverGreen should do these renames for you using a more specific method rather than the global search/replace method that Clover uses ... I've seen at least two configurations where using the Clover renames caused issues, so try disabling/deleting them form config.plist, save the changes and reboot ... then check H264 encoding again.

Cheers
Jay
@jaymonkey,

Well, I tried what you asked, that is, disabling “change GFX0 to IGPU” and “change PEGP to GFX0.” One of ten was in fact already disabled. Unfortunately, no dice. It still will not encode an H.264 in FCPX. I did not try deleting them, as I though chucking the disable box functioned the same as deleting. I am using the @pastrychef created, posted, and suggested that I use, and it has worked flawlessly in every other area. Maybe he has an idea what’s going on.

By the way, in case it gives any clues, Compressor renders H.264 just fine, but not FCPX.

Thanks!

Please try this config.plist.

Try doing the proper USB fix to see if it helps with your sleep/wake issues.

@patrickfogle,

Looking through your debug files I can't see any thing that is fundamentally wrong.

The only issue I would address is that you are injecting all of your kexts via Clover, injecting that many kexts can result in problems. Recommend that you install all 3rd party kexts in /L/E including Fake SMC and set the Clover Option System Parameters -> Inject Kexts to "Detect" and just leave the critical kexts needed to run MacOS Installer, Updater & Recovery in /EFI/Clover/Kexts/Other (in most cases you just need FakeSMC) see the kext guide for more information :-

If moving Lilu and it's extensions/plug-ins to /Library/Extensions/, it's probably a good idea to add LiluFriend too.

hi too have same system this is a dream to find this thread. i had to disable igpu for tb to work or disable tb for igpu to work with my rx580.

will give it a try tonight.

I hope you get it figured out...setting up Clover properly in respect to having the iGPU run in a headless configuration (like a real Mac) is described earlier in this thread and was really the biggest thing that helped me get things working correctly.....the “Above 4G Decoding” was really just the last step to having it all work with reliable stability.

Good luck!
