Suggestion for those experimenting with the Titan Ridge PCIe card: when re-booting, try: completely shutting down instead of a "hot reboot". Which means: do a normal O.S. shut down, then power off using the PSU rocker switch, then press and hold the case front power button switch for several seconds, in order to discharge the PSU's capacitor. Then power on again, first using the PSU rocker switch, and lastly power on again using the case front power button switch.
At least that way, possible effects of a latent system electrical charge on the Titan Ridge card can be discounted.
Statements have been made that "initializing the card while running Windows" is something important to do.
Maybe doing so leaves a latent electrical charge on the device? And that completely powering off & shutting down would remove that latent electrical charge.
Anyway: something to think about.
