Major revision and simplification of Section E.9.2

To facilitate a stepwise SSDT implementation, former SSDT-X299-iMacPro.aml has been split into device specific SSDT modules, which now form part of a new SSDT-X299-SSDTs Github repository. With SSDT-X299-TB3HP.aml, former SSDT-9-TB-minmal-hotplug-injector.aml is also part of this new repository. With Section E.9.2.13, Section E.9.3 is again part of Section E.9.2. All modifications have been finally performed in line with repetitive user requests during the last months.

Enjoy and have fun,

I'm referring to a X299 based on:
Asus Prima X299-A
7-7820X
32GB 3200Mhz GSkill CL16
Sapphire Nitro+ RX 580 8GB SE
Noctua NH-D15
Samsung 970Evo 1TB
Corsair TX850M

This system is not mine. But I'm building it.
On my profile I have one of my own systems.

Can you clarify: "If you want to scarify SMBIOS iMacPro1,1" please? Google has a bad translation fo the word scarify.

For example should I disable the CPxx -> PRxx replacements on a SMBios like MacPro5,1?
So your advice is buying a vega. Does an Nvidia like the GTX 1060 6GB work here? This machine will be used for video work in Da Vinci and Premiere. So Nvidia is much better with Premiere. Thing is Da Vinci uses Apple video API and fails to export with the RX 580.

I don't respond on questions to systems someone builds for others...

Also it should properly read sacrify.. scarify was an unwanted auto-correction by the text-editor. Sorry for this typo..

For Premiere the GTX 1060 does work without issues for me.
When exporting from DaVinci Resolve the preview whilst exporting looks "choppy" and the export takes longer than in Premiere.
The resulting video is without problems in both cases.
So, i would say that the GTX 1060 is better than using a RX 580 with iMac Pro system definition but not without its drawbacks.

I'm planning to switch to a Vega 56 as soon as the price meets my sweet spot.
Although Nvidia GPUs do work and sometimes are quite good - there are limitations one does not have when using Vega GPUs.
At least that's what i've read about Vega and iMac Pro in this thread. ;)

The biggest limitation for now when using Nvidia GPUs is the lacking Web Driver for 10.14. ;)

Also CUDA drivers are quite buggy in addition..

Yes, i'm scared of this.
Also i have my doubts about support from Nvidia further down the timeline.

I am quite optimistic though that there will be one within one month from now.. But the entire web driver game will likely restart along future 10.15 public betas in one year from now...

So far on SMBios MacPro5,1 the system is running as flawlessly as it was with SMBios iMacPro1,1.
If anyone has experience to share, they're welcome.

Nice work kgp! Just curious, Is the github repo going to be just for the X299 deluxe?

Yes. For all other x299 mainboards or at least for all x299 mainboards different from ASUS, you still have to perform the usual modifications/adaptations..
