So, 10.13.4 now WILL work with our Aquantia 10GBE cards! Ain't that great!

And, I forgot to add the following from Mieze......

".....you might want to add "apple-axge-debug=0xff" to your kernel flags. Have fun...

Mieze"

Picked up the Asus card and a TP-link 12 10G (rj) and 4 SFP+ 10g switch...seems to be working well so far under 10.13.3.

Quick question, does anyone here also know if the Solarflare 5xxx and 6xxx SFP cards are still working in High Sierra? Thanks

Yep. SolarFlare SFN5122F worked fine for me in 10.13.3. I pulled it before 10.13.4 was released but I don't expect it to break the drivers.

Awesome thanks.

If anyone is looking for a good small to medium sized 10G switch this one is pretty awesome-

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01IABKFHI/?tag=tonymacx86com-20

I managed to snag one from microcenter for only $550...working great and has extra features like QOS for the voip layer which I need for Dante (networked audio).

Hey guys, need a little help here>
I've got qnap aquantia http://shop.qnap.com/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=250 and Asus XG-100C. Both of them do not work under HS 10.13.4. however I was able to get Asus XG-100C recognized at the beginning but it was not working. Now it is not seen at all.On windows it is not working as well. So... Now, good news was it WAS working under HS 10.13.2. What to do? Don't want to get back to HS 10.13.2
Qnap card is not getting in to full boot. Some kind of glittering going on at the login screen. So I gues it is some kind of PANIC attack or something. It IS working in windows 10.
Please please help...

Easy enough to add to clover....either via the cli or using Clover Configurator.

I tried to add this via Clover Configurator and when I go to enter D4TAAwAA in the find field it automatically changes to D4AAAA and the replace value automatically goes to CC. It won't let me change anything about the find or replace values...So I just opened the config.plist with text edit and added it under the kextstopatch section and now it's working. This is with the asus card BTW. Just thought I would throw that out there if anyone else wasn't able to get it working in CC.

The process is:
  • Everything I've heard and experienced says 10.13.3 is the sweet spot for this process, not 10.13.2. But before you begin, please read the warning listed below.
  • Boot to 10.13.3 and see if it will flash your Aquantia card (the Asus XG-100C - can't comment about the Qnap card).
  • Reboot a few times, and see if you can get it work in 10.13.3
  • But note that if you get the Asus card working in 10.13.3, you must use special Apple Boot Camp drivers for Windows to get it to work in Windows 10 (in my experience, these drivers will only work in Windows 10, not Windows 8). Those drivers are listed in this thread. (post #112).
  • Upgrade to 10.13.4 and apply the patch using Clover Configurator (post #118) or via the cli (post # 120).
  • If the flash worked in 10.13.3, and the card worked in 10.13.3, after you apply the patch, it should now work in 10.13.4.

There is a chance that 10.13.4 will flash the card, but I'm not sure. So, apply the patch, boot and see if it does. And if it does, please report back.

WARNING: When you boot 10.13.3 and Apple flashes your card, that card is, for the most part, permanently changed. That means it's going to function as if its an Apple Aquantia card, and will require special drivers to function in Windows (so far, that's Windows 10 only - those drivers are available in this thread. I think post #112).

With a lot of effort, a user in this forum was able to work with a Aquantia tech to re-flash the card back to its default state, but it was a hassle and a lot of work. So, you may not want to have Apple alter your card. You should think about that, and decide if you want your card permanently changed or not....

If you use Clover Configurator, you have to enter the values exactly as they are listed in the screenshot (post # 118) in Clover Configurator. Exactly those values and nothing else.

If you enter a text editor, and you want to put the patch in via the cli, you must enter the values exactly as listed in post #120. Exactly those values, not the values that you would enter in Clover Configurator. They ARE different. So choose your weapon and method to add the patch. Clover Configurator, or TextWrangler, and enter the values that are appropriate for each entry method, and don't confuse them.

Interestingly, if you enter the values via Clover configurator, and you save your config.plist, then look at it via the cli, you will see the values have changed to a cli version.
