I’ve been at this for the past several days and I’m trying to get to the Multibeast phase with the install but having no luck.
The unibeast install finishes, restarts and leaves me with the screen shot attached. I try to boot macOS High Sierra but never make it to Step 5: Post installation with MultiBeast. The status bar shows a full load but the computer restarts rather than allowing me to finish the install process.
I have removed my Graphics and WiFi cards to eliminate possible hardware conflicts.
Deleted/formatted the hdd and installed countless times.
I’ve even tried using a 16gig USB2.0 drive to install.

I’m stuck. Any help would be much appreciated.

Hi there.

Well judging by that screenshot you haven't fully installed High Sierra yet.

Move the highlight/cursor along the line to the left and select the Install High Sierra option. Once this has completed the number of icons will reduce to the "External" which is your UniBeast stick, an "HFS" and a "Recovery". At this point it is still mid-install.

Hope that helps things move along. Keep us informed!

Good luck
:)

UtterDisbelief,
Thanks for the help, and forgive my ignorance on the subject, but I've now gone through and tried an additional (what feels like) 1000 times to get the install to work correctly with no luck. I'm starting to get frustrated with this.:banghead:
I have had the "Installing on "High Sierra"" with 32 minutes to install screen where it actually looks like I'm making progress, but those hopes a quickly dashed about 2 minutes after the "install" completes and I am unable to move forward to the MultiBeast stage... I slept on the problems I was having, drank a triple shot and got back to work this morning thinking I had it all figured out. I was wrong

Sorry to hear it's not working out.

Is your build as per your signature? An Asus Z270E, i7-7700k and a GT1060 GPU? SSD or HDD?

If so you *should* have no real problems getting to a bootable system, so something is going wrong somewhere.

32 minutes sounds about right, but it will probably complete much more quickly on an SSD, despite what it says.

I suspect that there are two many icons in that screenshot. You should have one "External" (USB), one HS icon (smiley mountain) an Apple black logo icon and a "Recovery". Actually the "Recovery" icon shows that there *is* a system installed - somewhere. It doesn't appear until one is (how else could it get there etc?). So there seems to be one extra smiley icon. Do you have more than one drive attached? (For example I have my SSD boot drive and an HDD data drive. I disconnected the HDD during installation because extra drives can confuse the installers.)

Are you using APFS - the new Apple File System if installing to an SSD? That too makes things look more confusing, especially with more than one drive.

Keep at it. Everything should work in the end. We just need to get past this hurdle. Also I see no reason not to leave your GT1060 in place. It will just install in an un-accelerated mode until the Nvidia drivers are run.

:)

I'm running a Samsung EVO 850 500 gig SSD with APFS format. That's it. For now. Once i get the system up and running - I'll start adding other components.
I slept on it over the weekend and I'm still drawing a blank but not giving up. I've got today and tomorrow to get it up and running... then I've got to turn it over to the wife (valentine's day gift) working or not.
This is only my second build, but I 'feel' like I should know what I'm doing. I've got some pictures snapped of the icons available to install.
I am still not making it to the MultiBeast section of the install portion or post install... After installing and attempting to boot mac OS High Sierra the machine restarts once the progress bar finishes loading.o_O

I think I'll keep a tally of how many times I attempt this for today.

Did you actually see the macOS install process? I only ask because, for me at least, the installation process took 2-3 reboots -- and each time I had to ensure I was booting off USB (and not the hard drive) for the process to complete. If this drive ever had Clover installed to it before, it's possible that you're booting to the hard drive rather than from the USB -- so the install process is never actually completing.

No luck with that approach. I've been at it now for 4 solid days. I'm about ready to see if this computer box has wings and can fly... on a side note - do you happen to know the approximate size of the OS once fully installed?

I get the spinning wheel of death that stops spinning when I use the GTX1060... it seems to want to stop loading about mid way through.

That can happen when the system has a problem switching to full graphics. Check the BIOS setting for the iGPU. Not sure what options there are in your Asus. For my Gigabyte I use "Auto". Basically if there is a discrete GPU the BIOS turns off the iGPU. Try different settings.

As for your install @magn2o has a good point. Boot using Unibeast but check which icon you select next. The install, especially for APFS, takes a few reboots. Personally I'd try HFS+ to see if you got any more positive results.

I've not yet made it any further. I've tried everything i can possibly imagine including everything suggested. I haven't been able to make it hast High Sierra Install. It tries to boot but ends up restarting after a long and laborious load. I'm working my way back from the beginning.
I deleted the downloaded Install MacOS High Sierra from the app store and downloaded a fresh copy after restarting my macbook pro
I deleted the downloaded copy of UniBeast and MultiBeast and downloaded fresh...
I'm using built in graphics (hdmi) rather than the GTX1060 to eliminate as many hardware problems as possible
I've not got the wifi adapter plugged in for the same reason as the GTX10660
The Strix mobo has only USB3 connections - so I'm stuck using 3.0 rather than 2.
I've checked, rechecked and then checked again my BIOS settings to confirm their correctness.
I feel like this should have been wrapped up several days ago. However, here I sit...trying to figure this out.
