Hi guys, my first try on hackintosh due a new development job and the lack of money to purchase a real Mac.

Can I use this guide on a T440? The main difference (AFAIK) from the above mentioned configuration are:

- Intel HD 4400 Graphics
- MyDigitalSSD Super Boot Drive 256Gb M.2 2242 NGFF
- Additional WD 750Gb Hard Drive
- HD LCD Display 1600 x 900 14"
- Original T440 Flat Trackpad (can't wait 45 days for the T460 model)

Attached is the log from HiNFO64 (please, rename the extension from TXT to HTM).

BTW, congrats for the awesome work!
It should work according to specs, its very minimal change.
Test it out, even if something doesnt work,a minimal change should fix it.

According to post #1, this guide *is* for a T440.
Why don't you try it?

Ty for jumping so fast Rehab. @Sniki 's OP states this guide was built on top of T440P and his L440.

Note: i do not own this laptop, the entire guide is created based on T440P users from this community that requested help on forum & my Lenovo ThinkPad L440 Guide, which is very identical except some ACPI Differences.
As the hardware on these models are much the same, I'll give it a try. My main concerns are the M.2 SSD as a boot drive and the HD (1600 x 900) resolution from the display.

It is a SATA device, so no different from any SATA HDD/SSD.

@gromalle I have the same touchpad but can't for my life find a working solution for it. Did you manage to?

Here, install the latest Tluck Kext built from source. its working fine for me.
Two fingers scrolling is also working for me.

Also nice Geekbench score, that CPU really makes a difference.
Did you upgrade it or it came/purchased with it.
@Sniki - I have a T440s and I've used parts of your guide to help perfect my Sierra build (Thank you).

I'm trying to adapt the tluck fork of VoodooPS2Controller so that my trackpoint can work, but it only randomly works (and when it does, the cursor jumps around quite a bit, it's not smooth). I'm using the "stock" backlit keyboard and trackpad with my T440 (aka "clickpad"). Is there any trick to getting the kext to work with my machine if I don't have the newer touchpad from the T450/T460?

Just use his kext & the SSDT's that trigger the T460 Identifier & configuration a.k.a "SSDT-TrackPad" which is prebuilt into SSDT-T440P.aml if im correct.
Even if you have the flat trackpad model it has same clicking areas just not physical but on the flat surface (left middle right) on the top of the trackpad.
Test it out that way.

Good advice. Since I'm using a DSDT, I simply edited my KBD device to include the 2 methods that were in the SSDT-Trackpad file (loading the SSDT separately did not work, for some reason) and paired that with tluck's kext. So far it seems to be working fine, and the trackpoint is now working as expected!

Thanks for the quick reply/fix!

@Sniki sorry to bug you again, but is there any trick to getting the computer to go to seep by closing the lid? That never worked for me on my machine, but opening the lid does wake the machine fine.

Ok guys... First impression is awesome! Got two days to dig carefully into every link and understand just a little about what I was doing. My T440 is up and running High Sierra with SSD. Didn't change it to HFS+ because the hint about patching it is after the OS X install instructions. It's a minor issue (I think), so straight to the issues:

1. Don't use a USB3 stick as installation media - at least on my T440 it will lead to an unstable boot condition... system won't even post... remove the usb and voila'... had to find an old usb2 8Gb card to install osx.

2. First boot with the basic kexts from Clover was fine. No graphics glitches, no sound, but ethernet was fine! Installed Clover, minimal change on Sniki's config.plist (resolution 1600x900, DVMT on 32/64Mb as I'm on Haswell), installed recommended kexts using Kext Wizard and boot... Welcome to the glitch and artifacts nightmare... blurred pixels like Minecraft everywhere, screen blinking on some apps (IOReg, Kext Wizzard, i.e.).

3. Hotkeys/function keys are mixed... Mute, Vol Up & Down react showing OSD but there's no sound... not even a device.

4. Bright keys doesn't work... They don't change brightness nor OSD is shown.

5. There's no battery indicator and when I try to enable it on System Preferences / Energy Saver / Show battery... the icon quickly shows and disappears.

@RehabMan and @Sniki , attached are the required "Problem Report" files. Thanks in advance for your help.
