I didn't meant FakeSMC.kext, which is meant for sensors.

FakePCIID family is used for different purposes, I just had a quick read here:
https://github.com/RehabMan/OS-X-Fake-PCI-ID

I assume one would always need to use two kext's (or I didn't get what the main FakePCIID is for), like FakePCIID and FakePCIID_xyz. Since I don't require any of the kext's with `_xyz`, I don't think my build needs that particular kext at all (I also don't have a discrete GPU.
Ah, I sit corrected... ;)

Shouldn't you need it for the Intel graphics to function (as you are not using a discrete GPU)?

Good questions.

I may have edited my RAM entry manually, so am not sure. As to the other, I have it set to 3200Mhz in BIOS (I don't know if that is a specific profile or not).

If you've overclocked your RAM you probably will need XMP set in the Config.

Hmmm... I hadn't needed it before...

@JCMunsonII

Here is what you can do to settle the XMP on your system.

- Disable it
- Reboot the system
- Go to upper left corner ( - About your Mac)
- Check if if it's still showing 3200Mhz

If I do that, mine will revert from 3000Mhz to 2133Mhz.

Regarding FakePCIID:
Well I'm using Lilu and IntelGraphicsFixup kext's to boot. The full IGPU acceleration is ether comes with these two kext's or is now supported natively with 10.12.6.

I managed to make Audio to work without VoodooHDA.

If you want your build to become a golden build, you may be interested in fixing everything. :) However I'm not sure what's needed for a golden build, it's only my assumption :D

First make sure to backup `AppleHDA.kext` from S/L/E.
  1. Use this script to detect your codec etc.:
  2. Use method 3.A from this guide:
  3. Just in case use Kext Wizard to rebuild permission and kernel cache.
  4. Reboot. (The audio will not yet work.)
  5. Use this guide now to fix the issue:
  6. Just in case use Kext Wizard to rebuild permission and kernel cache.
  7. Reboot & Profit. :)

I will have a play with these next week - hopefully Monday. :) Thanks for the posts!

I am not concerned whether this makes a Golden Build or not, but, I do want to make sure it is done as properly as possible. ;) And, the real bottom line, is if it helps someone, then it has done its job. :)

Well golden builds might be cloned more often. Furthermore I haven't seen any 7700K golden builds yet. :D

Would you mind sharing your clover config.plist (you can remove serial numbers and such from the SMBIOS if you'd like). I tried to fix native PM. I also asked to confirm if I did everything correctly, which I apparently did, but my system does not stay in standby/sleep and keeps waking up (I also applied the fix you've mentioned in the original post). It would be helpful if I could compare with your settings and double check if I'd missed anything.

Better is to post in a new thread with your Clover folder (minus s/n & theme), plus IOReg output so the mods can help you. It isn't that I'm hiding anything here, this is just best practice to get your system working and help others with a similar issue to get it sorted. It may not be restricted to this build.
