[NEW / TESTING] Intel 7th Generation Kaby Lake CPUs + 200 Series Motherboards in macOS

Status
Not open for further replies.
I have successfully build an i3-7100 with Gigabyte H170M-D3H and Asus GTX-750 2GB.
Did spoof the CPUID to get booted. Once installation was complete, used MultiBeast to get the drivers installed. The resolution was fixed after the reboot. Let me know if anyone needs a hand with similar machine.

Cheers.

Hi guys, I'm really new here and I hope not to be doing something wrong by starting asking things.

I have a problem installing sierra on my rig

GIGABYTE GA-B250M-DS3H
INTEL G4560 KABYLAKE
GRAPHICS INTEGRATED HD610
8GB DDR4 2133

I did everything about spoofing cpuid and gfx to an intel compatible but in the black screen with the apple (first boot to install) it loads like 75% and then right away appears something like a stop sign and it stops right there :/ am I doing something wrong?

Thanks!

Martín.

Now i use 10.12.6 betta 5, i deleted from clover config:
FakeCPUID: 0x0506E3
and
/Devices/FakeID/IntelGFX 0x19168086
now system recognize graphic as
Intel HD Graphics KBL CRB 1536 МБ.
without intel inject
That means that HD 650 graphic now working as native.
All working correctly, exept dual monitor configuration.

Do you mind sharing your EFI folder? I am still having issues with my install. I would be grateful and maybe it will give me some insite.
actually everything works except the sleep..the monitor goes to sleep but the unit wakes up straight away. I have notice that its a common fault on 270s and Sierra and currently I am going through the forum trying to find a fix for it..

It is just that the KBL kexts have a default for ig-platform-id when unspecified.
The default is 0x59160000.
Much like the SKL kexts use a default 0x19120000 (going from memory).
If you need to change it, you will need to use a proper Clover setup in config.plist for injecting it...

where are you getting stuck ??

I couldn't see any B250 motherboards on the buyers guide, are b-chipsets typically poorly supported in macos?

"Official" supported mb are Z270 and H270 with Intel "i" series.....
'Cause these are chips used by Apple (Intel "i" series)....
Everytime you would try to install in even more different build you'll have to apply even more fix and kext ecc.....
Try to boot with -v flag (Verbose mode) and try to read(or take a picture) about what is displayed.

Keep in mind if you make hardware changes, BIOS changes, etc. it could change the ACPI path associated with your NVMe.
No idea without typically required "Problem Reporting" files.

Hi @RehabMan

i think i understand what you mean, but am i able to change it through windows?

i can see my hackintosh m2 ssd drives as accessible now on windows but may where is the SSDT-NVMe-Pcc.aml located in the Hackintosh ?

so i can extract it out on windows and edit it.

1) Attached are my current present PATH name, not sure if it changed.

2) attached AML files are my configs that worked previously, could you help me see if it changed path like maybe say it was 09 but now its 13 or some other value.

sincerely appreciate it if you could help me out on this.
