Is there a trick to getting the 8300 to boot the USB install drive in UEFI mode?

I bought an HP Elite 8300 CMT and built the thumb drive per the linked UniBeast thread and my USB drive is only showing up as Legacy and wont boot off of it.

I actually just got an Elite 8200 CMT and am having the same issue. Did not have this issue with the SFF version of the 8300. I'm thinking its because its an older system (Sandybridge vs Ivy). I also can't get the graphics driver to take on the new system.

I was able to finally get my 8300 CMT to boot by using a different thumb drive.

I had originally tried 3 different ones and none of them worked so I tried a microSDHC USB drive and that finally showed up on the boot menu under UEFI. After that, the OS install worked perfectly.

Now I just need to finish getting my Audio working.

Hey Guys,

I bought an HP Elite 8300 SFF with i3-3220 GPU (which is the same as the i3-3225, but with HD 2500) and GTX 1050 Ti. Should I use 13,1 system definition for Sierra as the Apple iMac "Core i3" 3.3 21.5-Inch (Early 2013) (officially with i3-3225) does?

Thanks in advance.

I would use 13,2 which is the best for a discrete graphics system. That Core I3 iMac used the HD4000 for graphics.

Did you update the BIOS to the latest for the Elite 8200 ? That may make a difference.
Is the CPU Ivy bridge in the 8200 Sandy bridge system ? That can also cause problems.

Looks like we'll need someone to write up a separate Elite 8200 guide if the install process is significantly different.

About one week and I hope I can tell :) Thank you!

I did update to the latest bios system. This is not an Ivy Bridge system, I was refering to the Elite 8300 SFF that I also have. This machine has an i5 2500.

What graphics card are you using with it ? The I5-2500 only has HD2000.

1050ti. I can get the OS installed in legacy mode, just not the web drivers to work.
You may need to use an older Nvidia card like a GTX 760/770 etc. that are supported OOB or else you could get a CPU with the HD3000 igfx. I'm sure that one of those solutions would work for the 8200.
