Yeah fantastic work PJALM, i'm very greatful :)

i use your DSDT edits for my onboard HDMI audio (graphics) and USB ports (IO)

Your Hackintosh is truly a BEAST of a machine but must have cost more than a 2013 MacPro trash can

Weren't you just a bit tempted to buy a MacPro instead?

Great work PJALM. This is maybe the only thing not working on my Hack and it's something I've been wanting to fix for a while. When I originally searched for a solution, nothing came up. I even went as far to verify the possibility by installing Windows and the necessary drivers to get my iPad to charge at 2.1A. I had an aversion to DSDT and SSDT stuff for while as it wasn't 100% necessary for my build, but I think I'm starting to see the light.

For anyone wondering, I patched the Z87-HD3 (mobo specific patch in the list) DSDT patch from the Gigabyte section of PJALM's page. Loading via Clover and no issues.

Only issue, iPad won't charge via front panel. The charging indicator changes rapidly between charging and not charging. My iPhone however, will pull 1A with no issues. Must be anything over 1A isn't making the front panel happy (wire/distance limitations?). No worries. Back panel will work fine if truly needed.

I'm really sorry for bumping such an old thread, but I don't that the posting rights to PM someone. VoiletDragon, is there any chance I could get a copy of your patched DSDT for the Z77-DS3H? I don't know if it's a problem with how I've patched mine, but I can't get Clover to load it. A known working DSDT would help me to eliminate the file being the loading problem. All of my USB ports are now under-powered since I upgraded from Yosemite to Sierra, to the point where I have to have my Bluetooth dongle plugged into a powered USB hub to get it to work correctly. I'm hoping this fix will solve my problem.

What is the problem you're having?

The problem I'm having with USB, that I think a patched DSDT would solve, is that all of my ports are under-powered. I have an app on my phone that shows it's only receiving 360mA from both my USB 2 & 3 ports (front and back), whereas it receives the full 460mA from a mains powered USB 2.0 hub. I expect I'd get the full 900mA from a USB 3 powered hub. This affects my Bluetooth and certain HD's. Bluetooth constantly drops, HD's refuse to mount. The USB hub solves this.

With my patched DSDT, Clover appears to not load it, as non of the patches take effect. Read a couple of guides on DSDT patching, including RehabMan's, and I'm certain I've done it correctly.

Press F4 at Clover to extract a clean DSDT from ACPI. Attach Clover folder removing Themes & ZIP.
