Audio - Realtek ALC AppleHDA [Guide]

The 889A is Gigabyte's marketing name for the 885, OS X native. 889 is a different codec.
MultiBeast 8 - Select: Drivers > Audio > Realtek ALCxxx > √ ALC885/889a

OK, before I go and do a clean install, checking to find if it is needed or not. Can I just delete HDA kexts added to /L/E and the audio additions to Clover config.plist and then run MB again with ALC885 or do I need a fresh, unaltered AppleHDA.kext in /S/L/E? Or can I assume your current methods leave S/L/E AppleHDA.kext vanilla?

Run MultiBeast 8 with the 885 codec selection, no need to delete anything.

Firstly thanks toleda for all your hard work. Newbie here so thanks for the patience......

Currently the AppleHDA.kext doesn't appear at all for me in my Extensions folders.

Therefore do i need to inject the AppleHDA.kext first using "Realtek ALC Installation Methods"?
Or can i skip straight to script 1 "Realtek ALC AppleHDA Scripts"?

Many Thanks,

Alex

Hi,

My hackingtosh doesn't detect an in/output device, So i tried to fix it using Toleda's guide https://github.com/toleda/audio_ALCInjection, But when i run the "audio_codecdetect" script it can't find my codec: Screen Shot 2016-04-18 at 07.22.30.png. I tried to reinstall my alc1150 drivers from multibeast but with no result. Anyone knows how to fix this?:banghead:

Does the latest version enable audio after sleep on a GA-X99-UD4?
Latest version of what?
If OS X, do not expect a native solution, ever.
CodecCommander is the only solution, currently.
