Z77-DS3H, rev 1.0 -- I did patch-in-place of AppleHDA -- thanks, toleda, that was great. But then no sound after sleep. Used the app you recommended in another post, CodecCommander, and all is well, working flawlessly.

Thank you toleda and others who worked on this!

I have been having issues with audio and this new version with ALC1150 and Audio_ID: 1 chosen in Multibeast fixes all audio issues.

    Thanks!

    from the PDF:
(the Gigabyte GA-p97x-ud7 th doesn't have COAX/RCA S/PDIF out, so that's not an option)

So, are you saying S/PDIF TOSLINK (optical) will not work at all with ALC1150?

    Thanks.

It is an option, motherboard spec/Internal IO Connectors:
    12. 1 x S/PDIF Out header
    Purchase an adapter
Use Procedure 7. Substitute SPDIF-2 Wire Output in the Customization guide

No, specific players support Encoded Digital Audio over optical, see Surround Sound Realtek ALC AppleHDA
