Radeon Compatibility Guide - ATI/AMD Graphics Cards

I just get one Sapphire Radeon 6670 passive, this one :

and it is working out of the box with El Capitan :

And, I dumped my HD7850 to a windows gamer, I do not have much time to play with this things ...

The recently release IMac makes use of new ATI cards, so probably 10.11.2 will bring us more recent compatible Kext for current ATI cards ...

Till then, I will keep this 6670 as my video card ...

How about wake from sleep Fábio? Does it work? What smbios are you using?

I did not have much time yet, but the 2 cicles sleep => wake that I got till now it did work fine ...

I am using the DP port in a Dell U3415W monitor

Motherboard Gigabyte Z77-DS3H with F11a bios

Anything you want to know, just ask ...

Some time spend with the "upgrade" machine, so far the 6670 are working OK, several sleep => wake cicles with no issue ....

So we don't know yet if the R9 390 works in 10.10 Yosemite? Or even OOB? I am trying to decide between a GTX 970 and R9 390. I would prefer the 390, but not if it's more hassle/not going to work.

Unless there is a simple solution to use Intel HD graphics in OS X and R9 390 in Windows only?

I tried my 6870 (Sapphire Toxic) connected on displayport in El Capitan yesterday, sleep seems to work fine.
This is with one monitor connected to 6870 and another monitor connected to intel with IGX boot.

Now I got two 7950 cards in my main hack, one monitor on each card, and IGX blind boot.
Work fine (so far) except for sleep.

I use clover and with Intel injected, no other settings for gfx.

DP works on your 7950's? I can't get it to work in 10.11, it works fine in 10.9 and 10.10...

Q: OOB means nothing gets patched (no .kext, no framebuffer, no device injection by CLOVER/Chameleon) ?

I use Chameleon and know that Clover can do things , beside graphicsenabler in general - for AMD cards -but i want stay with Chameleon and El Capitan.

If you inject / patch something it would be fine to see your patch arguments for CLOVER or chamleon.

Yes, I just tried different ports as well.
Card 1 is a reference design, 2x mDP,hdmi & DVI. both mDP ports work (didn't have cable to try both together.)
Card 2 is Sapphire boost, DP, hdmi and 2x DVI. I run DP and DVI on this card now, with intel disabled, since sleep doesn't work.

Clover and no injection of gfx.
