[SUB]Can you update the multibeast settings?[/SUB]

[success] Sabertooth z77, i7 3770K, GTX 680, Mavericks

They are actually up to date. Any newer version of Multibeast should be used with the same settings. Apart from maybe eSATA, that should be changed to SATA. Any problems with the settings so far?

4. Repair Disk Permissions in Disk Utility and reboot. Check No.20 in the build desciption history here above, if you have some sleep/wakeup issues with sound or usb-devices.

Hi Vosster,

Thank you for the great guide!:) I believe this is the same guide I used when I created my original Mountain Lion build! (My 2nd Hackintosh). And I've looked here again when updating to Yosemite.

Almost everything seems to be functioning. I've installed an old ALC892 driver from MB Mavericks (6.1.0 I think?) which gave me stable audio. So thanks for that tip!

The only issue I am still having is the loss of USB function when I wake the machine. Sleep itself seems to work, but my USB ports wont work once I wake the machine. I can regain Keyboard function if I uplug / plug in again. I set my bios to disable the PLL Acceleration that you discussed in step no. 20. but still nothing.

I was wondering if you had any other ideas?
I suppose I can live with it, but it would be great to get things completely stable again.

Thanks in advance!
-Dan

Thank you Dan, glad I could help a bit.

In general I wouldn't say that I have a problem with the USB ports of my system (also considering sleep/wakeup), but from time to time (once a month maybe) I loose the keyboard as you described. I don't now how to fix this last bit of malfunction, but as you said, it's not a big deal. It only effects the Keyboard and might even be a general OSX problem. All other USB devices do always work. I have an Apple Keyboard which I can unplug/plug directly on my desk, since it has a short cable with an extra USB connection. So without even crawling under the table it only takes 3 seconds.

The only bit I can give you: Try another USB-Port. As strange as it sounds it seems to me that some ports are more stable than others. Might be related to the internal wiring or I'm just a bit paranoid. o_O

I appreciate the response! I also have an apple keyboard which, as you said, makes life easier when having to unplug. I did notice that when I sleep and then wake the machine, I get the "disk improperly ejected" error (or whatever its called). I've gotten around that by installing Jettison. This app ejects all external drives just before sleeping for you, then remounts automatically upon wake. Seems to work well.

I think I can live with how things are. Everything else seems to be working perfectly, so thanks again!
If I do find a concrete fix, I'll be sure to let you know!

Vosster,

Does your "About this Mac" say that your RAM is running at 0 MHz? Obviously it isn't really, I just thought it was odd. Mine says "16 GB 0 MHz RAM"

No it says "16 GB 1600 MHz DDR3"

I had an issue with RAM recognition before. It showed 1033Mhz instead of 1600 in "about my mac". I thought it must've been just falsely recognized, but it turned out to be falsely set in the BIOS. Something in the installation process must've changed the BIOS settings itself. A simple readjustment of the settings worked for me.

Try resetting the RAM in your BIOS. If that doesn't help check with Geekbench or something if the RAM works at the designated speed in the OS. Maybe it's just an issue with "about my mac".

So I updated my system definition to iMac 13,2. This fixed the keyboard sleep issue.

I'll check the bios tonight. Thanks again!
I'm also working on fixing Airplay mirroring, but I hear that's a whole other ballgame!

Have a great day!
-Dan

EDIT: I forgot, My BIOS was many revisions behind. I updated this to the newest as well. That may have actually been the fix for the keyboard sleep issue.

Hey guys, finally success with El Capitan an Clover! A nasty boot loop made it very hard though.

I installed Clover parallel to my existing Chimera Bootloader. Since Clover is UEFI and Chimera is Legacy they can coexist. In my config.plist I used dart=0 and kext-dev-mode=1. Also set BooterConfig to 0x28 and CsrActiveConfig to 0x3 as advised. In EFI/Clover/kexts/10.10 I have AppleIntelE1000e.kext for Ethernet, FakeSMC.kext and realtekALC.kext. Copied them over to the 10.11 folder. After making sure that clover runs perfectly I updated to El Capitan via MacAppStore. Ran into a boot-loop. Nothing booted even not the Unibeast-USB-Device. After two days I figured out, that I only had to delete Ev0reboot.kext from S/L/E. Did so via Terminal in Recovery Partition. Booted like a charm after that. Ran audio_cloverALC-110_v1.0j.command to enable audio. Still working on HDMI-Audio and iMessage support.

Hey I'm a first time Hackintosh, long time Apple user/developer. I"m trying this on my Sabertooth Z77 with latest bios. Created the Cloverleaf with defaults, but still get to the Apple Logo and the progress bar going about 50% and then getting a white "not" sign? Thoughts?
