So I've recently built a hackintosh with freshly installed Yosemite.

Everything seems to be running alright except for when I'm working in the finder, I find that it completely freezes up even the mouse and I have to restart it.

I find that when I'm sifting through photos in RAW or just TIF files, it seems to do it Also when opening the Mail app, it'll freeze the second it opens if the finder is doing anything else like transferring any decent size files. Also when transferring large files the finder seems to be more likely to freeze. Seems as though when the finder is working to any sort of capacity, anything else will make it freeze up.

I've deleted the com.apple.finder.plst from seeing it in the other site and I've set the computer profile to the correct build iMac 14,2.

I'm not sure how to diagnose the problem.

This is my build
Gigabyte GA-Z97-D3H
Intel i7 4790K 4.0ghz
G.Skill Sinper Series 16gb (2x 8gb)
No video card, just from the processor

This is my first build so I'm still learning how to fix these problems. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks!

Hi,

I also have random freezes (workin' on Premiere, being on Itunes, etc ...).

Are you sure it's specific to your finder ?

Random freezes may be caused by bad Ram... I am making test (memtest and rember) and I'll come back if it's the issue.

My config :

i7 4790k
GA z97n wifi
Intel 4600 HD
OS 10.10
2x4GB Crucial Tactics balistics
HD 840 EVO Samsung 250G
HD Seagate 1T
