that I'm stumped with what I've been reading here for some time :
- of course our platform is almost four years old and was updated with the X299X a little over a year ago
- we know that like the X99 platform before, our X299 will be discontinued in some time this year and the components will run out soon after
- but no other Intel platform offers more than 14 cores and also 48 PCI lanes...
So depending on the use that the owners want to have, it is for the moment the only alternative apart from the AMD TRX40 platform.
We also know that Apple ditched Intel CPUs so that everyone is free to use the new Apple CPUs, but repeating it over and over again isn't very constructive and even a little sad.
Just my opinion, take care of you guys
