Updates: it's already 36 hours that my hack works properly: I simply changed the video cable from HDMI to DP, after having set DP to 1.2 in my PHL BDM4350 monitor...

I got an alert about a message by @geneshya saying he had the same issue as me unless he disabled Above 4G. Weird, this message can't be found anymore.

Anyhow, when I disable "Above 4G" in the BIO (which is enabled by default), my system typically won't even POST, had to do a hard reset removing the bios battery.
I did manage to boot once in Windows and it locked up, and booting 10.16 it did the same as it always does: reboot as soon as gfx gets initialised.
Maybe erased.
But I manually recreated the SSDT (Dortania Guide). Turn off 4G Encoding, and add npci=0x2000 to boot list

Hi,

Asus WS X299 SAGE/10G new BIOS version 3203 is out: anyone tried it?
I can no longer boot 10.14.6. The progress bar fills all the way and does not load the OS. Any suggestions?

After a month now:

At this point, I should expect more comments from Big Sur Public Beta 1, as a reminder if this thread should be the continuity for X299 platform , it is obviously mainly about managing the installation of MacOs Big Sur.

In the same way as Apple wants as many users as possible to test macOS Big Sur to provide constructive feedback before the official release later this fall :

After you've installed the public beta, let us know how it's going!

The goal is to adopt Big Sur soon or later as our main system.

So I give you my feedback :

I managed the installation on three builds on reserved SSDs :
- Gigabyte X299 UD4 , i5 7640X , AMD RX 560 ( first test build)
- Asus X299 Prime Deluxe , i9 7940X, AMD RX 570 (Vega 56 out)

- EVGA X299 FTW-K, i7 7820X, AMD RX 580 SE ( my DAO/CAO work station)
(not tested yet on my main system Gigabyte X299 Aorus UG Pro , i9 9940X , 2 x Vega 56)

I used OC 0.6.0/0.6.1 EFI shared on my Github.

- The installation is about similar on each system (finally easy) , the process time as explainned in four step and about 40 min .
- After adjusting settings , the boot time is simmilar on Catalina
- The new features are very nice and the new look is resolutely modern
- Some known bugs are still present : clock adjustment, brightness control, Wifi card compatibility
- The system seems faster than before, and stable
- Power management needs to be tested longer
- Most applications used on Mojave or Catalina are compatible but some must be uspdated .
- Installing kext or application is supervised by the system itself which allows the user to rebuild the cache per terminal and restart after to finalise .

So now it's up to you, start and tell us

My Workspace :
- 2 x Stackable Carbide AIR540 ( EVGA X299 Build + Big Sur Public Beta 1+ Asrock Taichi X570 AMD Ryzen 7 2700X Anniversary Edition + GC Titan Ridge Build + Big Sur Public Beta 1 )
- EVGA DG84 Custom ( Gigabyte X299 Aorus UG Pro Build + Mojave)
- Screen 1 LG UHD 4K 43UD79
- Screen 2 Dell U2412M

@Loloflatsix, I have a couple of suggestions if you don't mind:

1- Should this thread be called X299 - Big Sur Support; if the other x299 threads are still open/active?
2- Should the first post include all the Mobos that have Big Sur running successfully?

Asus: Prime Deluxe; Prime - A; WS SAGE; SAGEII; SAGE 10G; ROG Rampage VI;
Gigabyte: Gaming 7; Wu-8; UD4; Aorus Master
Asrock : Creator
MSI:Tomahawk
EVGA:
Adding more once approved by users.

Etc, etc... ( I'm sure I missed many )

I want to remind you that the OC folder (Asrock Creator) I gave you is "out" of the topic since it's only running Catalina.
May be BS soon, but I'm very busy nowadays
Thanks

Hey there! What's new in SSDT-PLUG update? What's the purpose of SSDT-DMAC? Thanks.

You're wellcome :
- Asrock X299 Motherboard layout already added post #1
- Added SSDT-DMAC just below
- Will add you're EFI folder ASAP ( thanks for the sharing)

So we are just waiting for your feedback with Big Sur if you find the time to install it. ;)
