I downgraded my hackintosh build to Maverics the other day. EL Capitan didn't do it for me. I was having trouble finding the right audio driver, but i settled with the realtek ALC1150 driver. None of the Universal VoodooHDA drivers functioned properly. It looks as though it should be working, because the sound settings have detected my audio outputs. But if I go to youtube, spotify, quicktime, etc. the video and audio do not play. I get to see one frame of the video, and it buffers. It just doesn't play.

I play the video, nothing happens. I can only scrub through and see one frame at a time

I've played around a little more, and I installed the VoodooHDA v2.7.3 audio driver, and it seems to be working, but I have to deal with the hissing because of the default input gain, which I cant change (easily) in this version.
