I just replaced my motherboard a few minutes ago, a GA-Z87X-UD5H, due to the USB ports on the back failing. Same board again (Amazon replacement) but now there's a new issue. Or, at least, OS X has a new issue.
Aside from the standard issues that come from a new motherboard (I can't hit the App Store anymore... Yay.) my keyboard disconnects after I type. Every time. I will go and type something but as soon as I stop it stops accepting input. I reach over, unplug it, plug it back in and suddenly it's typing again. Then stops.
It's not fully disconnecting because the backlight is still functioning on the keyboard so at least I know it's still getting power.
The fun part is I don't think it's the new board because I also have Windows 8 on another disk and I've typed this whole post with it and no problems. The last time the App Store issue cropped up I had to fully reinstall OS X so I imagine I'll be doing that again anyway but I was wondering if anyone has come across this issue before and if there's a solution?
