I read opencl fix still needed. No one has responded it seems if the freezefix app is still needed. Also is RTCpatch still needed?

Article: Update Your OS X Mountain Lion App to 10.8.5

Is there any way to download the full 10.8.4 installer now that 10.8.5 is out? ...
Nope.

Updated and used MB to reinstall 889a and Ethernet drivers before reboot, just in case. Gulftown on GA-EX58-UD5. No hiccups at all.

Why bother update to 10.8.5 if you are using 10.8.4 without problem..

tonymac today released the new UniBeast..I hope that I can make it work

Never had this problem before 10.8.5 - any suggestions? So close...

I tried something similar to this a few months ago. I thought yeah I'll get 10.8.4 from the App store (even though I bought 10.8.0) and then if I need to do a wipe and re-install, no need to update the OS as much and Bob's your uncle. So I got 10.8.4 and using Unibeast put it on a flash drive.

Didn't quite work out though, after much messing about, I found I needed to get 10.8.0 (which luckily I had burned to DVD) and an earlier version of Unibeast to get it to work. Then once I had 10.8.0 installed I used the combo update to get to 10.8.4, and it's been fine since.

So I'm a bit wary about doing this sort of thing again. Just my 2 cents.

You didn't need to use an earlier version of UniBeast; the current versions would have worked with 10.8.0. What version of UniBeast did you have to use?

MacMan and I will be releasing a new UniBeast and MultiBeast in the next few days, which should alleviate many of the issues people are having with 10.8.5 + UniBeast 2.0.2

More progress. With 10.8.5 + UniBeast 2.1.0 on a GA-Z87X-UD4H + i7 4770k, I'm able to get past the first reboot during install, then stops here:

Code:
FIPS USER Space POST Success!
BootCacheControl: Unable to open /var/db/BootCache.playlist: 2 No such file or directory
Waiting for DSMOS...
Previous Shutdown Cause: 5
SMC::smcInitHelper ERROR: MMIO regMap == NULL - fall back to old SMC mode

Combo update worked perfectly, only had to re-activate audio via MultiBeast.
