Update HP Laptops to Yosemite with Clover UEFI

MBA 5,1 has HD4000. Would that have any effect on boot?

edit:
setting to MBA 5,2 fixed the WiFi issue.

any idea how to remove the extra Boot options on Clover Screen?

Just try it.

Thank you nguyenmac ! Thank you Very much
Probook with Yosemite AND Trim activated.
So Happy.

BTW, Have you some news on the change of the Wifi/Bluetooth MiniPci card on a 4530S Model ? (for Handoff :) )

Just try it.

I updated from Mavericks as well. Wasn't as smooth as I expected, but I got it working just fine... except WiFi of course.

I tried to do this SMBIOS thing on my laptop but then it couldn't boot. Stuck at the loading bar, before login screen.

I did change the SMBios to Macbook Air 5,2 and that does indeed fixed the WiFi.
All is working as far I know for my ProBook 5330m.

just wondering about the extra boot options.
I now have 4 total: Yosemite, OS X Install from Yosemite, Recovery HD, and Windows 8.1 legacy.

Do I need both Install and Recovery HD? if not, how do i remove it from the Clover Boot entry?

Look at your Clover bootlog to see where the entries are coming from.

I'm not sure what to look for, but here's a copy of the bootlog.

You should really spend some time becoming familiar with the Clover bootlog.

Look for 'Loader entry created'...

I went thru the log line by line and found all entries.

1. Yosemite: Loader entry created for '...'\System\Library\CoreServices\boot.efi'

2. Unknown : Loader entry created for '...'\.IABootFiles\boot.efi'
*I think this is the Install OSX Yosemite option*

3. Recovery HD: Loader entry created for '...'\com.apple.recovery.boot\boot.efi'

These are hidden folders. How do I remove the the 2nd Entry (\.IABootFiles\boot.efi)?

Do I just remove the folder?

Edit->Find is useful too...

You may be able to. Perhaps it is something the install left behind. I did not run into the same issue, so can't tell you for sure.

You could also hide the entry with config.plist. But then you'd have to mess with config.plist when you wanted it back (eg. during a major update).

All went fine, except that in clover bootloader, i have 2 entries for Recovery...how can i have just one?

Well since i'm not the only one who ran into this issue, I did found an answer.
*Thanx to Rehabman for pointing out the Log for boot entry*

I remove the folder ".IABootFiles" from the root of Yosemite partition.
It might be different for others, but this folder contains these files:
boot.efi, com.apple.Boot.plist, kernelcache, PlatformSupport.plist

looking into the com.apple.Boot.plist, i found this :
<string>container-dmg=file:///Applications/Install%20OS%20X%20Mavericks.app/Contents/SharedSupport/InstallESD.dmg root-dmg=file:///BaseSystem.dmg</string>

so it was left over from the Mavericks installation for my case. I deleted this folder and the entry was gone from the Clover Boot options. so I'm left my preferred 3 entries: Yosemite, Recovery HD, and Windows 8.
