Article: UniBeast: Install OS X Yosemite on Any Supported Intel-based PC
Notes on getting ALC892 audio to work on Yosemite with Gigabyte GA-Z87X-D3H motherboard with Intel i5-4670K:
With Mavericks, installing ALC892 from older version of Multibeast (6.1) resolved my no audio problems. However, this did not work with Yosemite.
PROBLEM 1 - No Audio After Yosemite Installation
After installing Yosemite and running Multicast 7.0 with the following options:
. Quick Start > DSDT Free
. Drivers > Audio > Realtek ALCxxx > ALC892
. Drivers > Network > Intel - AppleIntelE1000e V3.1.0
On restart,
. check System Preferences > Sound
-> No output devices found
. check contents of /Extra/org.chameleon.Boot.plist
-> kext-dev-mode=1 not found (should have been set by MultiBeast Quick Start > DSDT Free option)

. Customize > Boot Options > Kext Dev Mode
b) Restart OS X.
. check contents of /Extra/org.chameleon.Boot.plist
-> kext-dev-mode=1 found
c) Goto /System/Library/Extensions and delete AppleHDA.kext then empty trash
d) Run MultiBeast 7.0 and select the following options:
. Drivers > Audio > Realtek ALCxxx > ALC892
e) Restart OS X
. check System Preferences > Sound
-> Output devices found, but Output set to Digital Out
. change Output to Internal Speaker
-> audio now works

a) Run MultiBeast 7.0 and select the following options:
. Customize > System Definitions > iMac 14,2 (for i5 4670K Haswell)
NOTE: don’t use Mac mini 6.1 as it results in “Thunderbolt Firmware 1.2” Software Update that
cannot be hidden or installed successfully.
On restart
-> audio now works upon wake up from sleep
