About This Build:
This entire system was generously donated to me by leftbrain so I could work on trying to get it optimized. Check out this thread for details and updates on my progress with the build.

It has a few updated components that Gigabyte is using in all of their new revs. ALC892 Audio functions normally with ALC8xxHDA. The Realtek 8111E Ethernet chip requires Lnx2Mac's RealtekRTL81xx.kext available here:

Comments:
Working 100% in 32/64 bit mode. It's a Mini-ITX sized board (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mini-ITX). The size is awesome- never had a tiny computer before- it's about the size of a shoebox.
ickmund said:So after beating my head bloody against this project for a few days I gave up and took a break. This weekend I had a look again and realized two very important and stupid-of-me-not-to-notice-earlier things:
1. I had the 65W chassi, not the 150W. I'm having big doubts that this would suffice for this machine. Using the nvidia 210 while installing from DVD caused reboots.
2. My GPU was broken. Even BIOS looked weird and I confirmed it with a second machine as well.
So I've moved from the small cool Antec ISK 300 to a normal midi-tower kind of Antec. I'm also in the process of ordering a new GPU. It'll be another Asus EN210 since they're cheap and should work just fine for this setup (http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index. ... pic=222413). This time I'm going with a fan however, as it only takes up one slot. Once I've got everything up and running I still might get a smaller itx case so this will be a crucial component.
Hopefully I'll have the new GPU before the weekend so that I can take another shot at it by then.
