The Apple 9-12-18 event has no news on new Macs.
Just phones and watches. Buckets of them.
Regarding Apple computers ... just crickets. Not even vapor.
Cook is great with phones and watches (Apple's cash cows), but he is not stewarding the Mac lineup well.
Apple currently makes 7 different Macs.
2 of these are 6 years old.
5 of these 7 Macs get a "DON'T BUY" from the macrumors.com Buyers Guide, and 1 gets a "NEUTRAL".

All the newer Apple computers have problems caused by obsessing on size, even the desktops.
At that scale, components must be Soldiered, customized.
(Meaning they can not be upgraded or repaired by the average professional user.)
ifixit.com gives recent MacBookPro's a repair-ability score of 1 out of 10.

Beginning to wish Apple would spin off either the iPhone section or the Macintosh section.
They are not doing both of them well.
I am writing this on my 2011 MacBook Pro. (Get off my lawn.)
