[Solved] The strangest Clover issue, it cant boot mountain lion?!

SOLVED - I formatted my EFI partition and did the install process as detailed in the guide with the exact version from the guide, now its booting woo!

Gigabyte Z68X-UD3H-B3, I7 2600k, GTX 770

So I've got clover r2976 installed on my EFI partition, its using UEFI and i can get to the OS select screen on clover.

I used the tonymac clover install guide, and have fakesmc in my EFI partition, a config.plist from that guide is in there too.

Upon selecting an OS and hitting enter, the top 50 or so pixels display this crazy rainbow, and the whole thing hangs.

I've got chimera installed so i can flick back to legacy if I need to, but im hoping to go clover to fix imessage and have easier upgrades in the future.

Anyone got any ideas here? Its weird that I CAN get into clover but cannot get into mountain lion etc.

This happens even with -x and -v flags.

I played with clover for a few days. Lots of features, not lots of documentation or help to explain said features. Back to chameleon for me. It works. For now.
